    Help, 275/70/18 or 285/75/18 ?

    No rubbing on the stock 18" LT wheels with the 275/70/18 K02's. Even on uneven terrain or at full lock in parking lots. I installed Bilstein 5100's in the front which help with that clearance.

    Did a nice 3100 mile road trip up to the Pacific North West last week. Took the chance to take a nice photo to share. My new K02's were nicely broken in on some dirt and gravel roads.

    Nothing like them forcing a bunch of fluid around in there to “flush” it while knocking loose everything that the magnet was collecting for safety. I’d find a way to drop the pan and change filter and do a proper service on it.

    Agreed. I too have upgraded my reverse lights. My wife’s $25,000 VW has a crystal clear camera. Puts my ~$60,000 Tahoe camera to shame during the day and night.

    47,500ish right now. Bought it CPO with 38,000 miles on it. I figure spending an extra hundred bucks or two now is worth it in the long run because I plan on holding onto this Tahoe for a long long time. Plus since I did the maintenance myself, I know it’s been done correctly.

    Big fluid change day! Did a full transmission fluid change and filter swap. Siphoned out through the dip stick until I got air then dropped the pan.     I just bought a roll of vinyl and took my time putting it on and tucking it in with plastic tools from harbor freight. Then used a razor blade slowly to cut it. Thanks! I’ll post a final product pic when I do both sides with help and have no bubbles or seams.

    Semi-dumb question - Advantages of solid rear axle vs New 2021 Independent Rear Suspension?

    I believe that a solid rear axle is better for towing than IRS. Also, just from having seen a lot of new Tahoes and Yukons on the road, those rear lower control arms sit soooo incredibly low that they seem like a ground clearance issue if you do any sort of offroad driving.
