For what its worth, we drove my wifes last denali for 125k miles in northern michigan and never even once did we ever have an issue with them not working or malfunctioning. But i do know its a fairly common issue when in snowy climates. Think about it…they have a failsafe built in that senses...
Yea, sounds like its more than likely just snow/ice buildup. If you guys got anything like we did (im several hours north), im sure there is a bunch of crap stuffed all up under there. Parking it indoors for the night and letting everything melt off would pretty much tell you if thats your issue.
I wouldnt. But thats up to you. I loved that feature. If its still working and not giving you trouble, i see no reason to abandon it. Unless you are looking for way better shocks that dont have that feature.
Just because the air portion of the shocks is working, doesnt mean the actual shock is not worn. Bouncing usually is the shocks. If you push up and down on the bumper hard, there should be no bouncing.
Are you riding on the bumpstops by chance?
I personally couldnt really tell much of a difference. Was kind of difficult to judge though because we were driving around for a bit with blown stock units. But what i could remember from the first 75k miles, the ride/performance really didnt seem to be all that different when changing to the...
Converting to the eom air ride system would be extremely difficult, time consuming and very expensive. If you really want it i would say your better off selling your current one and buying one that has the option.
You are the first i have read having this issue. While i dont think the leveling kit really is the reason it happened, i can certainly understand the dealer pushing back against it.
This. I think every vehicle should have the lower section of the windshield heated like many of the rear ones are.
And, they just clearly need to redesign the defrost vents on the dash to get lower on the windshield. Big design miss on gm’s part. A dangerous one too!
Ahh, those were the recon grapplers. If you want an mt, Nittos mt has a 285/55 at 34.5x12. But any tire that size your looking at will require some type of small lift and trimming most likely.
I think he was getting at if someone is on this forum and has one of the suv’s in their fleet, theres a good chance they may have a pickup truck in the family as well (wife suv / husband pickup kinda deal).
