Thats because you can fit 35s with 2-3” of lift (with trimming depending on wheel size/offset). 35’s are only a few inches bigger than the stock tires (which is obviously only 1” closer to the fender). But really, in my opinion, a small level/lift really does absolutely nothing for tire...
You are riding on the air bags 24/7 in stock form…thats all you have for suspension lol…no springs at all. But yes, all it does is air the bags up more than the factory setting, so yea if you go too high with it your ride quality will suffer. Also could be possible added wear on the bags, not...
It would certainly be beneficial to regear. Not needed or necessary persay, but would get it back to optimal gearing. Would also be better for the trans. Lugging bigger/heavier tires around with overall higher gearing is not desirable for them.

Makes me wonder if the glass is not sized properly or perfectly aligned, and with a slight bit of body flex while driving it pinches it enough to bust.

Figure out where the tires are rubbing on the liner slightly (should be a mark) and pull it back a bit if possible with zip ties.
My ex just put a second set of those tires on her high country (but 305/45/22), they have been great for her. Do very well in the snow too.
It seems like a little low on oil at next service is somewhat normal with these motors. I have not heard of it being so low that the low oil engine light came on though.
