2015 Yukon XL Factory Air ride suspension diagnosis question

My guess is you have a burnt up compressor. This can be caused by leaks in the system or a pressure relief valve that doesn’t close all the way. Can’t speak specifically to the 2015 year, but have had to swap out more than a few on my generation of vehicles.

Crossmember Bolt Part Number - 2012 Yukon Denali XL 1500

I have removed these same bolts from my 2007 and had no issues with the bolts hitting anything. Wonder if they switched things up between 2007 and 2012. Are these the ones you are looking for? 126mm = 4.96".

    07 4L60E trans question

Gotcha. Everyone has their beliefs and ways of doing things and that’s fine. I myself never bought into the whole new transmission fluid causes issues in old transmissions and I have never put any fluid that came out of my vehicle back in. No fluid is expensive enough for me to try and save...

Blown Rear Air Shocks on 2012 Yukon Denali – Is it Worth Fixing?

I would recommend replacing both the rear air shocks and the air compressor. It is not a difficult task at all and the AutoLevel system definitely has benefits. Keep in mind that your vehicle has two suspension systems, AutoLevel and AutoRide. AutoLevel uses airbags and the air compressor to...

    07 4L60E trans question

@NickTransmissions might have some thoughts on this. I do have one question….why did you put the same fluid back in j stead of taking the opportunity to put fresh fluid in?

    My Yukon Troubles!

Every mechanic has their thoughts based on their experiences. Replacing the oil pump is not a “while I’m in there” type job when doing the rear main seal, in my opinion. To get to the oil pump, you need to remove the water pump, pull the crank pulley on the front, and pull the front timing...

    My Yukon Troubles!

You’re 2007 6.2 does not have AFM so it doesn’t have a screen for the oil sending unit. I have never heard that replacing an oil pump would cause issues. My guess is they didn’t want to do the work. To remove the oil pump requires a significant amount of disassembly. Your 2007 likely has...

2008 Yukon Denali vey rough misfire out of nowhere

Your 2008 shouldn’t have AFM so it shouldn’t be a collapsed lifter. I have had that happen exactly twice in our Yukon Denali’s. Both times, it was a broken valve spring. It takes about 45 minutes to pull your valve covers to see if you have a broken valve spring. Just had to replace one on...

    2013 Yukon 6.2 with p0304 code

I just replaced a broken valve spring on my 2013 Denali. Had it towed to a local shop that said they did diagnostics on it and gave me a quote for $5500 to replace the lifters. Told him I’d do it myself and had him tow it to my house. Spent 45 minutes removing the valve covers and found a...

    CV axles

Did you change both sides or just the one you thought was bad? I’ve been fooled by the whole turn left/turn right thing, especially when I can’t feel any significant wiggle in the hub when I check it, and just go with replacing both as they usually have similar miles.

    Best way to support engine

I’ve had good luck using a floor jack with a 2x6 or 2x8 under the oil pan as well. The key is to make sure it’s big enough to get under the sides of the pan and not just in the middle. A piece of 3/4” plywood cut to be a little bigger than the pan works as well.

    Issue at a gas station

When I had similar issues with my 2007, I had a fuel pump that was letting line pressure to drop. The first attempt got it almost up to pressure and the 2nd attempt would get it going.

    Issue at a gas station

How low do you run your fuel tank when you fill up? I find it hard to believe that if it was bad gas, that it would raise an issue right away as there is good gas in your fuel line that should be enough to start the motor. Once you get it running, does it start and run fine for the rest of the...
