Welcome to the forum from Virginia. I’m sorry for your losses. Good luck in your new place and with your suburban. Life throws us curve balls but there’s a reason you’re in your new place. It may take a while before you see it but it’ll come.
Welcome to the forum from Virginia. Unless the backspacing is different they should bolt right up and be fine. A good way to make sure since it’s local is to drive your rig there with your impact and try one on. Most serious sellers won’t have an issue with that. Good luck.
Welcome to the forum from Virginia. Great post on a few points. Weather good enough for windows down, have a kid that farts at will, Dad not too serious to mention it and a 2500 with low miles. On to your concern. Does it do this with door switch and driver switch? The power loss you mentioned...
Not really. It’s been a great rig. Common issues are cracked dash, bad ground connections, decals coming off HVAC, but not really that much in the way of mechanicals. The rear end clunk is a good thread to read up on.
Welcome to the forum from Virginia. I’m guessing the two sides are the same but the approaching vehicle is picked up sooner because it’s behind you. Though we’re not supposed to pass on the right I’m sure GM wouldn’t want to open that can of worms.
Definitely an add on. My guess is something the officer needed front and center like where they’re positioned on the road? It has an L and R but it’s a head scratcher?
Just tossing in a question. What is it about abrupt lane changes or other maneuvers that has you worried? What ruled out lowering your center of gravity? Tons of great advice here from some very experienced folks.
I’ll back up Joseph’s call on putting the system back to stock. I went with a Billstien bypass kit. It came with resistors so I’m sure you can buy them somewhere. Anyway, I’m regretting the swap and am planning to reinstall oem style stuff.
Welcome to the forum from Virginia. If you have the skills and a welder I think you’re on the right track. Be sure to mark and measure before grinding off the old ones.
Welcome to the forum from Virginia. I’m not versed on these new rigs but there may be some info in your owner’s manual. Others more versed than I will chime in too.
You are a talented individual. Great work! This is one of those cars we all had where we said “I wish I’d have kept it”. I’ve had 3 2nd gen Camaros in a 10 year span. None like the one you’re building.
Here’s a stock part but you’ll want to confirm the part number. Also on Amazon there are tons of options for upgrading the camera.
