    AMP Research Powersteps

Well when you do decide to get a set, rest assured that their tech support is good. They don't think the mod I did will hurt anything, but are sending me two new motor units to try out

    AMP Research Powersteps

For the price, i was bit disappointed that the motor plates didnt match up with the mounts on the bracket. This is an easy enough thing to QA with a gauge. I had to elongate the holes to mount them

    Gears, Lift, 22's and 35's

Ah June cant come soon enough for me. Nothing like tearing the front end apart with the garage doors open, radio on, and some cold ones. Can't wait to see this one done!

    Tune event in the northeast?

I could do somerset.... Confused on the pricing. $80 downpayment, $260 balance, $40 discount with autocal purchase... that can't be $40 discount to the $600....is there a different autocal hardware price?

    Tune event in the northeast?

Allaire Village in Wall NJ. Easily accessible from turnpike & GSP, minutes from I-195 for quick highway data logging. Picnic areas and things to do with the wife & kids if making a gtg out of it.

Just purchased a 2011 Yukon XL 4x4 2500 - Time to change all the fluids

Our 6L90 trans uses Dexron VI (as does the tcase). 75w-90 in both diff's. I use Amsoil Severe Gear for diff fluid. Welcome aboard! Did you download the My GMC app?

Performance mods in order of importance

Step one, black bear autocal... it'll give you the most noticeable improvement in performance & shift points. Then after you do intake/exhaust you can log some data and have your tune adjusted if need be.

    Thule Aeroblade Crossbars

Anyone have the Aeroblade crossbars? I have the factory ones, but looking to take them off and would like to get a set that's easier to R&R for when I need them. Couldn't find many pictures with them on GMT900 SUVs and wondering if they're low profile or stick up higher

What are you using to mount your phone?

I use a magnetic ball mount. Mounted just low enough so the shift lever doesn't obstruct the phone. On another note, what do you guys use to organize the center console? I hate how it's just one big open square that I have random stuff thrown in. Was thinking of getting a 2nd cup holder insert

VIN says 4x4 but I see no 4x4 Switch

Take a look underneath and see if you have axles going to the front hubs. If not, your VIN decoder is wrong.

    New wheels

Looks good man! Can't wait to see some day shots. I've been having trouble deciding on wheels for my silver XL2500.... might have to give these a closer look. And don't let the anti black wheel crowd bother you. A decade ago 99% of them made fun of anything shiny and bigger than 20" on a truck...

2010 PPV Lift or level new member!

On that same note I find it weird that Yukon XL is in a separate forum from the yukon.... almost everything is the same, except one is longer. So the only time I post in the XL is when it's 2500 series specific since theres no such thing as a 2500 tahoe/yukon.

    What should I do?

There's no limit to the tune updates when you purchase the Autocal system.

    What should I do?

Prices vary a lot by location. And it can get expensive if you also upgrade the carrier which is usually a good idea. IMO the jump from 3.73s to 4.10s isn't worth the cost. 4.10s were a stock option, and you're running larger tires than stock... thus upgrading to 4.10s is like running an under...

    What should I do?

If it has 3.42s consider regearing to 4.30 and a custom tune.

Rear end lock or open ?

G80's aren't a very sought after carrier for a reason. I'd throw in a lunch box locker (powertrax noslip) before a scrap yard G80.

Nominations for March 2017 TOTM......... HIGH Month !!!

@02_Tahoe , just some constructive criticism. ... attention to detail of the picture matters as much as the truck. Ie not parking under a bb hoop & behind a tree, or get rid of the hose before taking the pic. Find a half decent backdrop and make sure there isn't too much background light I...
