I also had an issue with the CPO warranty.... my defroster wasnt working on the passenger side. The dealer said to diagnose they had to take it apart, but if what they found wasnt covered I'd be out at least the $800 labor. I figured what could be bad in there that wouldn't be covered?? Go...
Its great on the highway. Cruising right around 2100 @70, no downshifting on little inclines. I like to keep it 70-75, but its still not screaming at 80. If I wasnt planning on towing (and if they made them for my axle) 4.30s would be good too.
Doesnt feel like a heavy truck while driving...
Another vote for Cognito. I looked into Rancho/BDS/Cognito as my top 3. In the end the Cognito won. Track width was a primary concern for me and the BDS narrow knuckles increase turning radius (no go for towing).
3 common options are:
Cooper ST Maxx
Toyo RT
Nitto Ridge Grappler
I contemplated all of them but went with the Cooper STT Pro, which is much more aggressive, but I just lifted the truck and figure wtf why not... tires wear out so its not like I'm married to them.
A new tire you might want to...
If there aren't any codes another scanner wont solve the problem.
Since you suspect at least one of the front sensors, I'd replace one (they're cheap enough) and go from there. If you still have Abs kick on but the replaced sensor isn't showing eradic readings, but the other one is, swap that...
Do an all systems scan, itll bring up every code in the vehicle (probably see some weird ones, even for the radio). There might be a code for one of the sensors even if the ABS light isn't currently on
Yes, lighting deals can end at any time. They're normally a few hours and limited quantities.
I put a lot of things in my Amazon wish list and get notified if any of them go on sale like that. Great for those things you want, but having trouble justifying lol
Yup, I used it recently to show my friend how his right rear sensor had no output, then when we replaced it how it was working just by spinning the tire by hand while it was still off the ground.
Check out the Autel MD805. Reads all modules (PCM,TCM,ABS,Airbag,Body, etc) and does system tests as well. Works on almost every vehicle, and is about $175.
If it's in good shape that sounds about right. I had a hell of a time finding a low mileage late model year for a good price and was searching nation wide.
If it's been well maintained 100k isn't a big deal for the 2500s, and it shouldn't need much in the way of repairs. If the brakes and...
I actually just replaced my fan clutch today. Those viscous clutches have multiple failure modes and are near impossible to diagnose (unless its completely siezed or dislodged). Relatively easy to change, so unless you're looking for a reason to go with e-fans, throw on a new clutch and go from...
Used every little bit of the lift/tires/gears today. Truck was loaded down with trail maintenance equipment and we had to get deep into the woods for the planned work. The rangers forgot to unlock the gate to the access road, so we had to take a "detour" up and around a powerline path that's...
