RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Bro in law signed up for a spartan rice and the kids decided they wanted in on the kids version. So we drove an hour or so away for them to all hit the spartan, in a very damp cloudy and rainy fall day. But it was so fun to cheer the kids and my bro in law on!

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

The hand built table for Polk was extraordinary. I can’t imagine having to light each of the candles in the dining room chandelier anytime guests would be over lol.

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

More cool and unique Tennessee history stopping in to see the ancestral home of president James Polk where he lived for 6 years as he was starting out as a lawyer, was super cool. It’s in Columbia, Tennessee just 15 or so minutes from my sisters house so we took the kids as part of their history...

RENAMED!! The adventures of Chase and his 2006 Yukon XL Denali!! Follow along on my travels!

Things have been so busy. Wracking up miles on the Denali. Working tons of hours lately but I need it. Took a week off mid October to head out to Tennessee to see my sister, bro in law, and the kids. Left the Nali at Long Beach airport which was super simple. Easy in and out of the airport and...

Will in Nashville's 2005 Yukon Denali

I do remember that conversation haha. I’ve had both styles of glass and I agree the 2005 and 2006 style is so much better. I have an esky glass now without the border as well that was several years in the maki f of searching before scoring the glass off a 2005 in a wrecking yard. I hear ya on...

Will in Nashville's 2005 Yukon Denali

Great looking truck! Love the esky bits! They just look like the belong on the NBS Denali SUVs. That hood and roof resprat came out awesome! Mines doing the same thing and I’ve been toying with the idea of painting it myself….. I just don’t have the time. Nice work on the paint though she looks...

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

That’s because there’s only two options. Non Denali or Escalade center bezel with the two big open horizontal storage pockets, that don’t separate from the bezel independently. Or there’s the Denali stack with the cd changer, the little pocket, and the 12V outlet.

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

There aren’t any factory made cubbies for the CD changer slot because the trucks that don’t have a CD changer in the spot have an entirely different console and bezel piece in that spot. That’s why we were excited for a moment there thinking someone made an aftermarket option that’s a clean...

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

The one for the CD changer is a pain. There are a couple aftermarket kits that will fit but take modification and I’m not quite good enough to do it yet. That’s why I was hoping one would be for that. Ready made that all I’d have to do is JB weld it to the bezel and it’s good to go would be...

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

Same here. Factory CD changer never got used a sling a si owned the truck. Was already on Spotify and Bluetooth streaming when I bought the truck in 2015 lol. And it hasn’t worked since I updated and did an aftermarket headunit in the alter part of the year after I bought it haha. No need for CD...

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

The bottom square shaped ones are definitely for the cubby on right side in the upper dash where traction control bottom is. The rectangular ones look too big for the other spot left of the steering column though that’s what made me think lower cd changer area.

new batch of console cubbies 2000-06

Are the rectangular shaped ones in the first and second photos for the opening where a CD changer would be located? Or is this for a different cubby?

    Repairing powersteps

I detail cars professionally full time in a mountain ski town in the US. While most winters are manageable snow wise since we’re in Southern California, we do get snow. Roads get covered in crud as you know. This passed winter we saw 10 feet in just 10 days which is a lot for us, Not counting...

My Fashionably Late 03 Denali XL Build Thread

I did the exact same thing you did with the wheel. Originally jsut painted grips on a regular Escalade wheel. But I scored the exact same wheel you did out of a junkyard envoy Denali. And put an envoy Denali center air bag in mine. I love having the Denali in the steering wheel! The same wheel...

    Budgeting for a paint job

Well yeah but that’s only if you have an accident or some other mishap resulting in damage. Something I’m trying to avoid at all costs right now because I can’t afford insurance going up. So it might benefit to do it that way it doesn’t always work out so easily unfortunately.

    Budgeting for a paint job

I’d say that’s unrealistic. Body shop that I trust and know does professional work quoted me $8600 to repaint my Yukon xl Denali in 2020. And that’s here in Southern California.

OR VietVet Build thread for 2006 Yukon Denali XL-Cancelled

Unless an owner before you modified it, you won’t have a cabin air filter installed from the factory. They did away with that in 2003 I think….. there’s a spot for one but no cut opening in the plastic behind the HVAC under the glove box. If someone before you did the mod the tell tale sign...
