The wonders of the Internet.... manual to download here:
Edit: figured out he wants to disable the auto lock all together. Which this manual excerpt tells me exactly how to do. Sweet thanks!
I read an excerpt from a silvy manual and it detailed the process but doesn’t sounds like what I’m trying to do. But it also doesn’t sound like this truck is capable of the multiple different lock and unlock scenarios like my truck is. Here’s the excerpt I read on GM-Trucks.com in a thread...
Hey guys! I’m out in tennesee this week, visiting my sister, bro in law and the kids. and trying to get my brother in law more on board with GMC…. Lol he’s been a toyota guy and doesn’t fully understand why I love my GMC. he bought a 2001 sierra SLE 2WD from his great aunt, not quite two years...
There wasn’t a GMT800 steering wheel that had heat as a factory option that I’m aware of. So none of the wheels hed find to buy anywhere would even have heat in them as a function. And I don’t believe I’ve seen any of the aftermarket options for the GMT800s with it being added in as a feature...
Once the my start peeling they don’t stop no matter what you put on them. I would suggest wet sanding them first before applying that coating from meguiars
I don’t have these headlights but as a detailer I have some advice as I do headlight restorations all the time. I have changed headlight housings on my nbs denali 4 times now as I’ve tried several different looks with LED strips for DRL options. The ONLY set that didn’t have clear coat issues...
Yeah it’s pretty minimal. I notice it but the wife who daily drives the esky didn’t notice any difference lol. I THINK my esky appliqués were black when I got ‘em so I had to have them sanded down and painted anyways so they match the rest of my truck. But that satisfies my OCD lol.
I guess I should add though that I live and operate my detailing business in a mountain ski town in California. We see snow anywhere from late October to late April and even a little bit of snow and freezing weather into early May some years. This past winter was incredibly harsh. Major storms...
The interior protection is a nice feature. I detail a ZR2 Colorado for a client that had a similar package done on his truck. It’s held up well after a couple years now. But in my experience the exterior coatings are not worth the money they charge to install it. A lot of dealers, at least here...
Interestingly enough some of the caddy paint codes appear to be the same as the denali paint codes and still have slight differences. It’s kinda weird. I lived in an apartment built onto a bigger house for almost 8 years. Knew the family in the main house like they were blood family. About a...
Tails look good! Yours is the same color as my Denali! I actually think I ran those same tails for a bit. Interesting look with the light strips mounted in the vent covers.
Nice truck upgrade @Ilikemtb999 ! Looks nice a nice truck! I think the AT4 18 inch wheels would look perfect on the new LTZ! It’s a damn near perfect color match on the darker finished parts of the wheels to your trucks paint color!
Yeah I’m thinking I’ll just tap into 12V somewhere to power the controller and run the controller wires to the seats and then add in the heat/cool air module into my seats.
The platinum package was available on the SWB Escalades, 2004-2006 jsut like the ESV. But they’re pretty few and far between on the SWB. I’ve only seen a handful of them in the wild over they years that I could see the interior on had the platinum edition interior. See a lot of non platinums...
Weird. I have a dorman unit and mine self tests at every start up. I can hear the vent open and then it runs for about 3ish seconds. I never did the relearn process. I just replaced it and went on my way…. Lol
I’ve heard lots of back and forth with the dorman replacement compressors. Some have gone through multiple compressors and some have only had to replace it once. I’m in the second category. Replaced all my Z55 suspension components, I believe sometime in 2018 and my dorman compressor hasn’t...
This is incorrect information on “polishing”. You’re talking about making the finish brighter which is not polishing. “ Polishing” at least in this frame of reference would be taking a corrective abrasive compound like paint correction products to remove imperfections like scratches in the...
Welcome from another GMT800 Denali XL owner! Looks like a really nice truck! That’s the color I so badly wanted when I bought mine lol. 106k is just breaking in that 6.0!!
