    Help with rear brakes

Yes you can, (the rotors,) the pads and caliper, (with bracket for that caliper) on the rears is all you need. Don't buy that detroit axle kit. If you are buying new front brakes: there is the NNBS front brake upgrade. Very little price difference if you are buying the components anyways...

Best way to find an exhaust leak? Car smells like

Blow it up your tailpipe. Got a shopvac and want to check when its not running? Hose up the tail pipe, and block off any extras tips. Spray soapy water anywhere to check. You will see bubbles if there are.

    Throttle Body Spacers

Just to bump a 10 year old thread. I've heard people swear that TBS actually work, and that they can feel it. This may be from one of two things that actually happen. 1. It relearned. Especially if you cleaned a part of the air intake or happened to do a relearn with some other intake...

How do thieves circumvent the passlock theft deterrent?

You go ahead and keep telling yourself that. You literally just tried to give out a detailed how-to steal an NBS, in a thread titled, "What electrical do I need to know to steal an NBS." Does it matter if it's in a million places on the internet, why are you making it a million and one...

How do thieves circumvent the passlock theft deterrent?

This is why I get ......... I want to talk about how this is a COMPLETE lack of street smarts to post something like this. Isn't this about the same time when all the hyundai and kia thefts started too. I also don't think this is how, I think I know how, and I'm not going to say how...

Question about the TBSS / NNBS intake upgrade

Here are the adapters to make whichever injectors fit properly with whichever rail. https://www.ictbillet.com/ls/ls-swap-adapters/fuel.html You can find the adapter harnesses for about $50 from all over.

GMT900 front brake upgrade for my GMT821 ... what ELSE do I need?

You also need to have minimum 17" wheels. EDIT: So IF YOU ARE ON 16s NOW, and need to upgrade those too, you NEED TO reevaluate doing the 2020+ 4 piston calipers. Those require at least an 18" wheel, and not all 18" wheels will fit. Those are a better caliper and if you are buying...

    2000 Tahoe limited

I hope everything is going well with your vehicle, but ..... 1. Where you bought it from is a car repair shop, not a dealer. 2. That is not the Limited front bumper. 3. That doesn't look like the factory grille, or lights, and the hood looks off. To me that looks like it had front end...

    Which brakes to get ?

There's a big simple question here. Do you want some basic knowledge you can build on, or do you want an easy answer and just have someone else do it? If you want to know, and learn for yourself: If your brakes are stopping well, and aren't warped, and you don't need more stopping power...

Idle Worse After Plugs and Wires, WWYD?

If the kid did the entire job, I would be thinking its more likely they screwed up the install. I probably missed it, but lets say you checked all the wires and made sure they were all on tight. My guess would be they didn't seat a plug in correctly, and most likely the #8 plug. That or...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

The NNBS brake upgrade started in 2005 on the pickups. The NBS version uses a different caliper and pad than the NNBS and K2XX (also the same brakes). The rotors are the same. If you order the parts/kit, and are getting new calipers, I would order for 2008-2018, just in case 2007 is...

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Yes they will. The 2015+ K2XX models use the exact same brakes (calipers, pads, brackets, and rotors), as the GMT900.

There's a thread here where a member recently did or at least started this, but I want to say they used the smaller radiator and LS1 fans.

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

Oh good for you. I was thinking you might actually be looking for the model that had brakes larger than what you already had, but guess not (13.0" vs 13.0"). Sounds like I was the one who should have specified that we aren't talking about the calipers that have pads TWO-THIRDS the size of...

I have a suspension, wheel, and brake question

Well.... The NNBS rear rotor is nearly the exact same size as far as height as the NBS. The NNBS is also a larger 13.6" or 13.8" rotor (as opposed to your current 13" rear). The swap is not worth it because the NNBS has a single piston caliper as opposed to the NBS factory dual piston. BUT...

Decided to keep and now want info/recommendations

I think everyone else has covered the tune and efans. If not, tune and efans. I'll try suspension; How do you use your vehicle: Do you ever go off road? 2wd or 4wd? Would you be looking at dropping it or lowering it, if so do you know how much? The cheapest and easiest thing to do to...

    E fan conversion question

either one will work. I don't know the part number off hand. There is one for the 05-06, and one for the 07-13. The 05-06 has fewer blades and is IIRC 25amps, but they are longer. The 07-13 has more blades and they are shorter to be quieter, and IIRC 30amps.

    E fan conversion question

Yes you need the 34" radiator for this conversion. Its been a while, but I want to say there is an extra relay to change polarity. The heavier duty fans use higher amps because there are more blades. GM did this because it makes the fans quieter. They will both work, the 05-06/07classic...

Did GMC make a factory Sub-woofer for the driver rear compartment panel?

The only post that was constructive in this thread, you just deleted. It was the only one that answered the OP, plus helped them more than what they knew to ask for. There was a little shaming because it seemed like the appropriate angle. I was trying to "help guide them in their quest...

Did GMC make a factory Sub-woofer for the driver rear compartment panel?

Grow up you two, (you're also the two that resorted to childish name calling). I was trying to MOTIVATE this person to look for their own answers. In this case and many others, when they do, they will find much more information then what they know they are looking for. A two minute search...

Did GMC make a factory Sub-woofer for the driver rear compartment panel?

I'll keep "scaring the shit out of" those who put zero effort into doing their part, and you can keep going behind them and wiping their tears and their bum bum.. In whatever order you prefer.

Did GMC make a factory Sub-woofer for the driver rear compartment panel?

I helped the really lazy person, and the forum. I don't need to be sweet. I was trying to make a point. You sound like the one that's overly sensitive to me. It is what it is.

    Question about upgrading Foglights

There are many who have added aftermarket LED lights (that come in there own housings). So you just swap the plugs and bolt in place as opposed to trying to do a PITA retrofit. Fogs are supposed to be dim for fog. Light refracts off the water in the fog and causes reflection back at you...

Did GMC make a factory Sub-woofer for the driver rear compartment panel?

This person is starting a bad habit, and its getting ridiculous. They know exactly what they want to ask, and they could have found the answer quicker than it took to make this thread. When they did that, they would have found a lot more information to expand well beyond what they thought to...
