Cargo/Loading Ramps: Any DIY Designs or Suggested Brands/Models?

Y'all, I've done my due diligence, but haven't run across any cargo/loading ramp discussions on TYF, other than this one on a dog ramp. To be clear, I am not asking about maintenance ramps one would drive the truck onto, I'm asking about ramps to do things like getting yard equipment or whatnot...

Mod for making both tail light bulbs illuminate when brake is pressed

I'm going to be implementing this in my newly-acquired '13. It won't be via trailer modules, but via micro relays. I haven't delved into the wiring sufficiently to know how I'm going to approach it, whether plug-and-play harness (which requires obtaining appropriate connectors) or via tapping...

Just Picked Up This 2013 Tahoe LTZ

Thanks for the suggestions on immediate maintenance needs, folks. I'd already planned on all of the fluids (including brake, which many folks forget) and some of the suggested hard parts.

Just Picked Up This 2013 Tahoe LTZ

Hi Y'all, I was mainly on the lookout for PPVs, but when this came up for only a bit more than the PPVs I was running across, I checked it out and snapped it up. 183K, $9,750, from an Alfa Romeo dealer. The AFM is working fine, but will be turned off via tuning ASAP. Everything else is...

Removing 3rd row flooring, what to fill recesses with?

I'm late to the party, but a suggestion for anyone doing a future endeavor like this is to use "casting compound." It's not inexpensive, but will flow and form a level rubber surface, and you can get it in different stiffnesses. If you use a release agent beforehand, it'd be easily removable...

    Catch can flow discussion

That's certainly true for the overwhelming majority of street operation, but at high-load or full-throttle operation when there's the combination of low/no vacuum and increased blowby, crankcase vapor will flow out of that intake side. Whether it's worth it to install a catch can on that side...

Long-Time Gearhead, Short-Time TahoeYukon Lurker. On The Hunt.

Y'all, Due to some upcoming needs and the desire to have a daily driver with an automatic again, I'm on the hunt for an older Tahoe, most likely a GMT900. I generally prefer less-content-laden vehicles and only need 2WD, so I had mostly been looking at PPVs. However, since I will be doing...
