    Rear Main Seal

break down the engine? thats nuts. they just need to pull the t case and tranny and flex plate off the engine and theres the rear main seal. while its out the t case leaks could be addressed. my local shop charges 500 plus fluids to rnr and engine or a tranny, a 4x4 might cost more, then the...

2005 Chevy surburban fans don’t work

when both fans turn on with the temp sensor unplugged proves everything else is working. id pop that clutch fan off, let the engine get up to temp. like stated they wont come on till 220 or so or unless the ac/defroster is on, as long as the ac works, like you stated its not working. i did a...

2005 Chevy surburban fans don’t work

are you the original owner? thinking it got a engine swap at some point. never seen elct and clutch fan at the same time. once you get the elct fans working right id ditch the clutch fan, you'll free up like 10 hp. and might even see a bit better mpg. less spinning mass.

2005 Chevy surburban fans don’t work

try another temp sensor, if you didnt get a delco, get one of them. all of em are subject to being dead new in the box. its sending signal to the dash, and the pcm. pcm side quits when the fans wont turn on. if you can scan live data, scan coolant temp, see if its reading via the obd2. (aka the...

I thought I blew up my transmission because my truck would not move …….

you'd almost think the bolts were cleaned off. even after 175,000 miles and new brakes every year on my 97 3500 pick up where you cant get the caliper pins out so you need to take the caliper with its bracket, every damn time it took way more force to get them broke free with the factory loctite...

I thought I blew up my transmission because my truck would not move …….

Front brakes both sides heating up and dragging

might be time for new calipers up front. or a diy rebuild. not all that hard to do really. compressed air does help with the job to blow the pistons out.

    DOD Delete Theory

ditch the dod cam and lifters like the rest of the LS world. theres no combo of mix matched items that will let you reuse the stock dod cam, if its ticking loudly from a bad lifter chances are the cam is wiped out as well. you want a bit of extra power, may as well as long as your in there...

    2004 Yukon 2500 4x4 front bumper exchange with a 2011 gmc 2500?

if you know the brand of that bumper or got its part number you could look up if its compatible. more then likely it wont be a direct fit. i know my 97 frame mounts for my plow would not work on my new 03 at the time. frames were just not the same after the model change year.

Tow button and higher stall torque converter

he should have suggested you go get it tuned for the t/c even with it being a low stall in general. cant see how any of that would void a warranty, or better yet, dont tell him a thing.......he clearly wont know if it was tuned or not.

Tow button and higher stall torque converter

x2 on getting it tuned. its likely slipping more then t/h mode did so you cant feel it like you used to. the apply release files need to be touched up some. maybe the shift points, so it locks up at slower speed/ less throttle, and lets loose when you get into it to. ive got a 3400 stall in my...
