    Power loss

flashing cel means multiple misfires. you either need a tune up super bad, or the cats are clogged up. if the lights flashing fix it asap. pretty much means theres a catastrophic event going on. next time it flashes, scan the truck running, dont turn it off or you'll clear the pending code...

Heater core hose to water pump

hose placement means nothing one is in the other is out, the heater core dont care. gurgling means theres air trapped in the heater core. so pull one hose off hold it up and fill the core via the hose. pop it back on the water pump. problem solved.

Is my timing causing me a P0300 code

all aftermarket cams need the p0300 code deleted as the lope you hear is actually misfires. so they will misfire at idle and throw that code. part of the cam game. seems like you need it tuned. timing marks look ok to me.

    Tonyrodz's Tahoe Build Thread

the clock spring for sure. but being your truck didnt not have the radio set up from factory im really unsure the buttons will work. i suppose you could unplug the clock spring under the dash in your truck and count the pins in the truck side plug see if the plug of the new column matches up...

Tool to make quick disconnect flare on metal hose?

ive got this set. has worked on every job i needed it so far. trick is to push the tool in, then push and pull the line some as you push the tool in further. once its in deep enough the line and tool will come right off. you can use a pick to pull that clip out too. but be warned they tend to...

Engine was running rough for a couple weeks system bank 1 and bank 2 are running to lean just yesterday it started accelerating by it self

sounds like a large vacuum leak. esp if your setting a lean code. look for any broken plastic lines around the engine, if you cant see any thing spray the lines, intake manifold where it bolts down, the tb where it bolts on while its idling. your looking for the idle to jump up if using...

Unable to adjust settings on DIC

them buttons get dirty inside and quit. bulbs may burn out but the button still works. so if the clock spring is bad you would also have a air bag light and no lights or function of the radio buttons. them buttons pop right out, but way easier to unplug them with the air bag removed. air bag...

My '02 Tahoe L59 revs WAY too high on cold start ups. Anyone got any ideas?

try cleaning the tb. air intake off open the butterfly and clean as much of the black crap out on the walls and the back side of the butterfly. carb and choke cleaner and a old tooth brush and some rags does a good job to clean with.

    Alternator

do a local search for a alt and starter rebuilders. most of the time they got one on the shelf already rebuilt, you leave yours as a core, or they can rebuild yours. last one i had done a few years back was like 80 bucks.

    Harmonic Balancer install?

just press it on like you were told. you dont have a distributor to mess with or timing marks to read with a timing gun any more.

    Misfire Issue when it rains

at night in the good and dark, use a old spray bottle on mist, with water in it, and spray the coils wires and down by the plugs. 90% of the time you'll see sparks jumping from them metal plug boots. why i toss them right in the trash if they are still on a car i buy. if that dont yield...
