2022 Yukon Denali Diesel fuel injector failure

Got my Yukon back today, injector #5 was bad. That was the original diagnosis in November, but then they changed their minds and said it was the harness. They replaced: PART NUMBER ============== injector 55506244 pipe 55514860 harness 40009103 gasket...

2022 Yukon Denali Diesel fuel injector failure

The "repair" did not last one month (see posts 8 & 13). On Friday January 12, the dashboard did its bells and whistles thing and the engine began running rough. Took it in to the dealer today and a quick scan says bad injector. Hmmm, that was the initial diagnosis last time, but then they...

2022 Yukon Denali Diesel fuel injector failure

Got my Yukon back today. It was not the injector that failed, but was the wiring harness that was the cause. Specifically the codes that were thrown were P0205 and P0300. The techs find bulletin 21-NA-149 that explained the wiring harness could be compromised if routed incorrectly (I'm...

    Thermostat Shortage?

Well that explains why the dealer kept referring to the bad part as a "valve". When I inquired about the "valve", that's when they said it was basically a thermostat. Now it makes more sense. But my question is essentially unchanged, anyone else having trouble with this part?

    Thermostat Shortage?

My Yukon is in the shop for a few of things right now (bad oil pan seal, bad fuel injector and a bad thermostat). The holdup in getting my truck back is the complete lack of availability of new replacement thermostats for the LM2. The dealer has been very responsive, they just can't get the...

2022 Yukon Denali Diesel fuel injector failure

My 2022 Yukon Denali Duramax is in the shop now for a new injector for cylinder 5. It went out with about 25,000 miles on the odometer and did the same thing your's did with all the bells and whistles going off. Will post details when I have the paperwork on all of the work they performed.

If you won the lottery and you could have any truck, what would you choose?

2023 Cadillac Escalade-V I'm actually surprised I'm the first to post the Blackwing (yes, I know that's not the official name, but I like it).

    Bricked Tahoe after Software Update

In your conversation with the service consultant, did he say why it only happens to some vehicles and not others? I'm just wondering if it is some option or configuration combination that triggers the brick. I've performed many OTA updates on my 2022 Denali and no problems to date...

    Cold Blooded Duramax?

I remember those! I never had one, but I knew guy at work who did. Man, have diesels come a long way since then. And, no, my Denali does not sound like that at start up. :)

    Cold Blooded Duramax?

That's interesting that it is just now exhibiting that behavior. When I initially picked up my Denali in February, when it was considerably colder, I didn't notice it. But the last few weeks it's very noticeable. Weird.

    Cold Blooded Duramax?

When started cold after sitting all night, my 2022 Yukon Denali Duramax surges at light throttle when driving. When I push the pedal a little more, it smoothes out, and once warmed up after a mile or two, it runs as smooth as silk. Anyone else have a cold blooded Duramax? I'm not too concerned...
