    I love our Our Subaru for the top mounted filter, but hate the mess the pan drain makes. Who ever invented under chassis panels never changed oil. We had a BMW long ago with the top mounted filter and I am guessing that the copycats caught on.

    Agree with that. We have (& had) 2 cars with the oil filter on top of the engine, filter opening pointed down, and they are fantastic.

    Have had many sets of Michelin Defender LTX on two Tahoes. My dealer said he had 80,000 on his. They are comfortable, quiet and all I need when we used to get snow in the northeast.

    I am interested in anyone's experience with dying the floor carpets. Ours, being 15 years old, has noticible fade. Being trod on for so long they are well compressed so I'm not expecting miracles but there are "undyed" spots where the doggie cleanup solutions turned out to not be color friendly...

    We have moderately hard water and I use a "CR Spotless Water System" to treat the rinse water; no need to dry anything, even in the sun, and no spots on anything. Just let it drip dry. I love it.

    Yes, not looking for noise either. Just looked up the record and the pads are Raybestos Element 3 Brake Pads EHT1363H. Reads like hybrid of ceramic and semi-metallic. Got them because they had a kit with their rotors included.

    Not here. Insurance adjuster quoted a figure for us to keep the damaged vehicle (if they totaled it) and confirmed that it could not be sold to be put back on the road here.
