    Last month, I took a 6 mo old service statement to my agent. She compared the mileage shown there to the then current mileage. This was how I verified my low usage habits, and kept the discount. No tracking, no back-seat driving. joe

    Absolutely correct. There's also the fact that they've never had the degree of freedom we've had. In theory, our rights or privileges exist until gov't takes them away. Theirs don't exist until gov't grants them. We've been the 800 lb gorilla, both in economies and in freedoms. joe

    If this helps any... I removed the rails on my '95, a few years ago; so I could powder-coat them. The headliner did have to be removed, because the rails bolt through the roof. It may not be as big a concern for you, but this truck was 25 years old, so we were extra careful about not breaking...

    JIC, do you fill up at the 1/4 tank mark? Leaving that last 1/4 tank's worth helps cool your pump, which helps it last longer. My '01 Tahoe went about 20 years on the original pump. joe

    Would cam and headers add 200 HP to a smallblock Ford? Somehow, I doubt it. Anyway, I already specified I didn't want to affect reliability and driveability. I forgot to add, earlier, but the '95 Tahoe was too perfect and too perfectly stock. It deserved preservation, not bast..., er...
