Kee. Go to Arrow Alignment. I wouldn’t waste anymore time and money assuming. I had similar issue and replaced all my suspension parts with little improvements. I even replaced all new tires twice in 4 months thinking I had bad tires.
For me, my steering rack bushings that hold in place were...
I followed this video found on YouTube. You have to watch it a bunch of times due to the poor quality but huge props to this guy:
My seats have both heated and cooled but didn’t worry about it. I understand if you follow these instructions the heated portion will work, don’t know about cooled.
Has anyone found a solution to swap out their bumper with a civilian model with backup sensors or retro fit with an aftermarket system? Do the aftermarket systems work well? I do have a new Kenwood head-unit and Maestro RR + GM5 harness. Anyway, can’t find much on this subject.
This is the one thing I would take to the dealership and pay the $150 diagnostic for. After you learn the problem, take that $150 you paid for the inspection, apply that to an evacuation and recharge. Have them evacuate, fix the issue yourself and come back for your prepaid recharge. Did this a...
I swapped out my front seats from an LTZ Tahoe. Have to make sure you get the donors wiring harness which comes from the floor and match colors and junk. I should have done a video on it. Now I have lumbar support
I found them on Amazon. The brand is Amerlite. Make sure to buy led low and high beams (H1 and H7). It’s not the same size bulb as the OEM. Also, switching to these headlights brought back the DRL.
So my 2009 PPV has started a new issue. It all started when I replaced my exterior door handles, I noticed my rear driver door stopped working. I couldn’t open from the outside or inside. Having the door panels off, I even tried manually pulling the door latch mechanism from the inside and...
Also on a random note, finally got around to repainting my Tahoe. I did all the body work myself and removed all that could be painted before taking in. Made a better paint job and more affordable.
Even eliminated the holes where the spot lights came through. The magic of fiberglass.
It’s been awhile from updating my thread. Wanted to add a conclusion on what I did to help soften the ride.
I finally got around to replacing and rebuilding my steering rack. WOW! What a difference in handling and it has less rattle up front when hitting any bump. I’m still not there yet as I...
When I added my roof rack, I purchased a nutsetter kit from Amazon, which is a must. To get measurements right, I found a Tahoe with the factory rack and took a bunch of measurements from all angles. Ultimately you assemble the rack with the middle crossbars and place on roof. With the help of a...
Welcome to the PPV/SSV addiction! Happy to know you fixed your ABS and stabiltrack light. It might come back on. Usually it’s due to a faulty Speed Sensor, which is a quick and cheap part. Buy yourself a BlueDriver scanner for $100. They are magic on GM trucks.
also, had the same wheels on my...
I have the Duracell AGM battery. Bought at Sams Club. I like Costco better overall, but when it comes to batteries, Sams Club only requires you to have the original receipt vs. the original buyer to be there for warranty exchange. Unless that rule changed?
all AGM batteries are good... not...
I’m wanting to upgrade my mirrors on my PPV to add turn signals (Power fold would be cool). I have the window switches from a Yukon Denali. Did anyone confirm if it works?
So you have lot of different challenges going on. Does your stereo head unit not work anymore? You mentioned the backup camera isn’t working. Don’t know about the burning smell and airbag light. I do know our PPVs have a ton of wires just laying around after they decommission them.
Yes, the...
I would recommend the affordable scanner of BlueDriver, which works amazing on GM vehicles for about $99. If it’s in the shop, they will likely tell you what’s going on and DIY the issues yourself with the help of this forum.
I’m rocking Belltech Street Performance struts & shocks. Running Eibach 2” drop lowering springs in the rear for comfort (the PPV rear springs are horrible ride comfort).
Been rocking these LEDs I bought on Amazon 2 years ago. No flicker at all.
the brand is:
SEALIGHT Scoparc S1
Lights on the left are factory. Lights on right are LEDs
My auto Headlights on my PPV worked without any issues when I bought it. I bought my PPV directly from the local police department.
Now I did have some issues where it sometimes didn’t work, so I went and bought a new light switch circle thing and no longer have issues.
I did the leather seat swap into my PPV, couldn’t figure out how to get the heated seats to work even though i pulled the buttons off the doors from the donor. Everything else works great for the 12-way adjustments.
The harness for the PPV vs. the Donor LTZ Tahoe was way different. The PPV had...
I’m going to Affordable Collision. Shopped around for the past few months. Best offer for the work they will do and what I had seen (base +Clear). They had a Lamborghini and a new Rolls there getting worked on so I figured they did good work. My PPV is in all primer right now. Had so many dings...
Thank you everyone for the help and feedback. I’m praying it’s the steering rack from what I noticed when inspecting, along with the symptoms.
It’s been 115 degrees here in Vegas and not motivated at all to go outside and wrench. once it gets to closer to 100 degrees I will take care of the...
