Here you go, found something useful. Here's Carbyte actually explaining it. If you don't hit 40, DFM does it's thing. If you do hit 40 they claim it's completely disabled for that drive cycle. Generally speaking that's probably fine, just don't get fooled into thinking the DFM is completely...- nick14226

No clue, looks like you asked the guy who posted it so hopefully he can confirm. Was funny because I saw somebody going with the carbyte because the range still deactivates when slowing down. Sound like the carbyte isn't 100% either LOL- nick14226

Range said early beta units were drawing the battery down a bit when sitting over time. I never had an issue (daily driver) but they sent a revised version. Believe that was fixed before they released them for purchase. As for the CEL being bypassed, can’t say for sure, but I can’t imagine...- nick14226

No gm suv I’m aware of that comes with a factory 2” lift. Many confuse the Silverado trail boss and sierra at4, that do come with it, with the SUV’s. Rough country being one of them, and sounds like your salesman too.- nick14226

Seems most kits put the z71 slightly nose high. I agree on being level from factory. Rough country is 2” front 1” rear. The 3.5” rough country also lifts the front higher. And the readylift 3”, that I have, does 3” front 2” rear. With all of these kits the other trims look level, just seems to...- nick14226

Sorry, yes 2022 z71 5.3 The corsa had no impact on the drivability. It’s well designed and eliminates the flapper, but no drone from DFM. Just can hear the cylinders kick back during decel at 14 mph, which again doesn’t bother me. I’ve 6.2 owners with the same complaints as the TSB defines that...- nick14226

Initially I thought I lost half an mpg but now I'm at, actually slightly better, mpg than pre eliminator. I'm at 15 MPG average (lifted, heavier wheels and tires, summer fuel, etc). I thought about that when I had the AFM disabled with a tune on my ‘17 5.3, the system doesn’t get “exercised.” I did switch back to stock for dealer visits. May not drop cylinders when you’re towing depending on weight, grade, speed, etc, but it’s not disabled in tow mode for this gen.- nick14226

L9 disables DFM, it’s in a service bulletin for troubleshooting and I can tell you it does. I don’t like the way it drives in L9 though, and losing 10th gear isn’t ideal either. Right, but I’m saying there’s no vibration or lugging when the v6 drops cylinders. I don’t think the system belongs...- nick14226

L9 is the only way to disable. I didn’t feel it with mine until about 5000 miles in. I hated AFM and thought wow the DFM is way better, and then I started feeling the lugging, vibration, etc just as bad if not worse than AFM. Not a fan. My beef with DFM is cruising and slight throttle tip in, that's when I notice the lugging/shuddering/vibration. The range disabler stops all that. Without the disabler, when coasting down to a stop or braking, the DFM is enabled and with a louder exhaust you'll hear the DFM then disable at 14...- nick14226

License Plate Lamp Replacement
I'm finding no info on this, looks like the whole assembly has to be replaced!? I know incandescent bulbs have a short warranty, but since (I think) these are LED's maybe covered under bumper to bumper. I'll get ahold of the dealer, but anyone else out there have one or both stop working? -
Cylinder deactivation for the 2021-2023's?
I hope that continues for you, mine didn’t start lugging until I got some miles on it and the DFM seemed to be programmed to get more aggressive after break in.- nick14226
