What I was thinking initially too, but nothing there on drivers side and passenger side does have ac and wiring behind it but it’s not hanging out there, it’s along the frame.
Nothing but fender and wheel well, seems to be just a place for the liner and/or mud flap (splash guard) to mount to and the piece sticking out, I was going to cut off, must just support the mud flaps if you have them. Or maybe just a carry over from the Silverado as I think they have a...
May have been overthinking the brackets. Poked around on Silverado forums and found the same brackets being referred to as “mud flap brackets” and seem to be commonly removed for additional clearance. Plenty of space at full lock now.
Thanks, yeah, just going for a little poke. Here are some more pics, the wheels I have are +15mm offset (factory z71 wheels are +24mm), so amount of offset is closer to a 1.5” spacer with a factory offset wheel.
(4) very large bolts that are visible, going to try to pull off this weekend in order to cut and reinstall. Same piece mirrored on drivers side. Everybody stating trimming a little felt, pulling back and trimming plastic, etc, gotta think this is something newer. It’s pretty thick steel...
Just went to do a little trimming to get the felt liner pulled back a bit more in the wheel well, anyone else run into this monstrosity or did they start it for the 22's? Could hook a chain to this thing and pull a tank out of a ditch. By BFH wasn't B enough. Took the cutoff wheel to the lower...
I noticed there was a revision to the instructions online vs the paper copy I had, most had to do with wiring. The online instructions seemed to jive with what I saw on my Tahoe.
I do think Amp does some oem stuff, but yeah, the factory GM steps look quite different.
Good luck with the lines...
That's what they suggested and I really really didn't want to mess with those. Moving rigid/formed AC lines isn't the right way, and I know what it costs to replace those as they failed on my '17 Yukon. Is yours a '22? They told me they've installed many on '21's without the issue so seems...
I did the OTA update this week as well and replacement (old p/n old s/n) sensor seems to still be working. Not sure if the OTA update covered this issue and the original will work now. Figured I’ll leave it alone ♂️
Here's how mine turned out. Before (factory suspension w/ stock size KO2's) and after (2" RC lift same KO2's). Measurements on drivers side only, ground to top of fender openings, 3/4 tank of fuel. Fenders aren't level based on these numbers, however, I'm liking it. Body lines are level and...
You're welcome! Just hang onto your original sensor. If there's a software update down the road, as the other guys have eluded to, that fixes the issue who knows if the old sensor will still work. So may need to swap your original back in
I have the RC 2” lift on order, should be installed in a couple weeks. I’ll report back with before and after measurements. As @DWSmoot had already measured he’s level after so I’m hoping for the same. I don’t think you get a full 2” out of this kit, also don’t think the spacer thicknesses are...
List price is around $1700, carID is the only place I found them at a discount and could even get them from (think I can mention since they’re a sponsor). Back ordered / no stock everywhere else.
I love them, my third set, give it the more aggressive look while still easy for the family getting...
I’m frustrated for you guys.
Wonder what the dealers would say if someone with a ‘21 comes in and tells them they have a malfunction because only the drl’s are on in bright sunlight. Would they try to “correct”’ it so the headlights come on too?
AT4 looks great!
Only have around 1000 miles on these KO2’s, but so far they’re quiet. Had about 15000 miles on the 285 55 20 KO2’s on my Yukon and they were quiet too (rotated every 5k miles). I’m surprised they’re loud for you, hmm. Maybe rotate and try different air pressure, mine are load...
Looks great!
Are you pretty level with the 1" up front? Feel like mine is near level at stock height so any lift in the front would need to be matched in the back or I'd be nose high.
