2011 did not start last two days at 45 degrees

There is a way to exercise the FPCM/Fuel pump and monitor fuel pressure, but it takes a Tech 2. Check the Tech 2 stickie above and see if one of us is nearby.

Which battery (AGM or Wet) came stock in 2012 Tahoe?

I think most of the wet cell batteries these days, and way back to my OEM original, were no maintenance sealed cells. From a user maintenance standpoint no difference.

Which battery (AGM or Wet) came stock in 2012 Tahoe?

I have had two wet cells and now an AGM. The first battery was a wet cell (OEM came with truck new), lasted 7 years. My second battery was also a wet cell (Interstate, direct replacement of stock specs), it lasted 5 years. My last battery is a Napa Legend AGM. I noticed that it seemed to be...

2011 did not start last two days at 45 degrees

The 2007 and older vehicles had the relay and no FPCM or Fuel Pressure sensor (I own a 2007 Yukon and mine is like this). In these older models pressure is regulated by a mechanical pressure regulator in the fuel pump assembly (back to like 2005 -2006 and then by a regulator up in the engine...

Trying to find a battery cable for a 1995 Tahoe LS 4x4 5.7l

2011 did not start last two days at 45 degrees

Your truck didn’t come with a fuel pump relay. The combination of FPCM (aka Fuel Pump Drive Module), Fuel Pressure Sensor and PCM, control power to your fuel pump and regulate fuel pressure to the rail. I suspect what is happening is by populating that relay, you are turning power on to the...

2011 did not start last two days at 45 degrees

I have to go do some research but I don’t think your model year came with a relay in that position, I think it is normal to be unpopulated. It may indicate you have an issue elsewhere, like your FPCM, pressure sensor or again your pump. I will go see if my supposition is correct and get back.

    2011 Tahoe LTZ Shocks

I agree with @gooffeyguy that there is a good chance you have the Z55 Autoride suspension (which entails electronic dampening control (front and rear) and air auto leveling (Rear) ). These shocks are quite expensive (relative to less sophisticated offerings). Is there a reason you are...

How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

I have a standing search for a ‘12-‘13, Yukon SLT or Tahoe LTZ on a few online auto search sites. The criteria is pretty narrow for n number of variables as the only way I would switch is if I find a unicorn when it comes to all the things I want to switch. Everything I posted above would still...

Hard to start after towing and now all the time?

You might check the cable to the starter and the grounds. One of our more technically savvy members had a starter issue and found the cable to the starter loose at the starter.

I wouldn't worry that the gasoline you are pumping isn't what they say it is. What I was getting at is if your Ethanol sensor calculation was off, it could indicate a weak fuel pump. If your truck thinks it has like 20 or 25% Ethanol when you have only been pumping gasoline, it would tend to...

How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

I am in the fortunate position that if I really thought a different truck would serve my needs better, I would just go buy it. I have looked long and hard and honestly don’t think there is anything out there that fits my needs better than my 2007 Yukon SLT. When something breaks I fix it with...

2011 did not start last two days at 45 degrees

Do you happen to have a fuel pressures gauge? If you can’t read what the fuel pressure sensor is saying, the next best thing is an analog gauge. A slowly fading fuel pump can induce starting problems. On the flex fuel “virtual sensor”, it appears that this bit of software can be challenged to...

Couple of background questions. What kind of scanner? Can it see fuel pressure? Is it flex fuel or straight gas?

Hard to start after towing and now all the time?

Seems like you might be on the right track with testing the battery. Also, I wouldn’t put 87 in a Denali if it were me. It is a pretty high compression engine. Modern EFI systems seem to be tuned to retard spark enough to keep the engine from self destructing by riding the knock sensors, but...

07 Tahoe LT what to watch out for

Mine was a worst case scenario situation, lots of towing out west (mountains), so fairly high rpm operations, etc. But if you don’t have fairly detailed intel on the history of the truck, it can get ugly. For some reason I am drawing a blank on the MY that had the updated valve cover and AFM...

07 Tahoe LT what to watch out for

Probably the biggest thing to look at is the status of the components contained in the AFM oil consumption TSB. The 07 came with a driver’s side valve cover that had a defective design. It also came without an AFM oil pressure relief valve deflector, such that oil from that valve could reach...

07 Tahoe - Stabilitrack/Traction Control/Brake Light AND ABS lights all on intermittently

Since you have the brake light, there are a couple of other things to look at. Is your brake reservoir low on fluid? This can happen when brakes get worn and the fluid level drops because the pad travel is extended. Another thing you might have an intermittent issue with your brake fluid...

    Not taking Gas

I think I would also disconnect the hose that is between the canister and the vent valve and see if it will fill. The vent valve is supposed to be normally open, I know you said you replaced it, but if you got a bad solenoid, it still might be obstructed. It will probably throw a code while it...

    Possible fuel pump failure??

Seems kind of unusual that it needs both a fuel pump and a drive module, but... On RockAuto that represents about $300 in parts and should be a couple of hours labor. $1810 seems over the moon to me, but if your extended warranty covers it, I guess it doesn't matter.

    Not taking Gas

Did you disconnect the filler hose that attaches to the tank and inspect that port to be sure it was clear and unobstructed?

07 Tahoe - Stabilitrack/Traction Control/Brake Light AND ABS lights all on intermittently

Last ditch? I mean, you almost certainly have an intermittent faulty sensor (like has been mentioned, a wheel speed sensor can cause what you are seeing), it isn't the end of the world. You might take a look at the Tech 2 Owners sticky and see if one of us that own a Tech 2 is close to you...

2012 Yukon XLT with mystery rough idle and misfire codes

I don’t know of a way to inspect/replace lifters without removing the head. I went back to my notes and I may have given you bad information about the timing of GM’s upgrades to the VLOM. I could not find a model year reference. I think maybe the only way to know what rev VLOM you have is to...

2012 Yukon XLT with mystery rough idle and misfire codes

The 2012 model year came with updated VLOM and AFM lifters. I believe they actually started shipping them in mid-2011. Maybe the shop always replaces all lifters, the VLOM, etc. when they find a problem lifter. Given your problem wasn't a collapsed AFM lifter, it would appear your VLOM and...
