    '11 Yukon Electrical Issues

If the battery drains again after you pull the charger off and have it all hooked up (like over night), you likely have a parasitic drain somewhere.

    Possible fuel pump failure??

If you have HP Tuners, can't you take a look at live fuel pressure pretty easily?

Good reason to run a 6.2 on premium fuel

I don't think there is anyway to know. In the video he clearly states he doesn't know the origin of the engine. He does state that he sees tons of the 6.2L's with broken pistons.

    '11 Yukon Electrical Issues

I think the only reason the charger turns off is it is sensing the battery is fully charged, none of the trucks electronics would cause it to shut off prematurely. What does a voltmeter say the battery voltage is, just after the charger is done?

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The one I got, I just bypassed the OE plastic line. It would be super simple to pop that plastic hard line between the PCV and the intake back in, get smogged and put the can back in, maybe 5 minutes. :)

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I definitely watch consumption and how dark it is getting. I had that TSB work done where GM paid for new pistons and rings (consuming like qt every 1K). Now it stays pretty clean, relatively speaking, between changes every 5K in non-Covid times, about every six months last year. Do you have...

    Not taking Gas

Did you check to make sure you don't have any collapsed or kinked vent lines? If the lines are are OK, I would agree checking the lines for charcoal pellets (from the old canister) getting up into the lines and plugging them up might be worth checking. A few guys have gone through this and...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I am sure the computer keeps track of all sorts of things over time, temps, TPS %, load, start cycles per hour, etc. etc. etc. Or at least, I would be disappointed if they didn't, it is all there just waiting to be analyzed. :) My analysis of when to service my truck is mileage, months and...

    SSV/Need help stuck!

Here is a video on the process. I don't know if it will help if one of the electronic modules that control this stuff has gone south, but maybe one of them just dropped a bit and reprogramming will put that bit back where it belongs (without an alarm).

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I think that is a big factor in its calculation. Other than when I was towing, my engine has always loafing. I frankly never liked the AI service stuff. I am sure the engineers have it all figured out, but for me, I just like pencils and paper. :)

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I believe the DTC oil life eminder is supposedly taking into account driving conditions, etc. I tested it a few times and it never got down to triggering a reminder in less than 9K miles and the oil was always very dark before the reminder, so I quit using it and went back to 5K mile interval...

    SSV/Need help stuck!

It does sound like the anti theft system. You might try the 3x 10 minute key learn procedure. The bad news is you really should have a jumper battery hooked up to make sure you don't drain the battery during the 30 minutes with the key on (might be less of an issue if you have dual batteries...

2012 Yukon XLT with mystery rough idle and misfire codes

I might try and find another shop to work with, that one is a loser. If you have a compressor, one of these gadgets can be pretty useful when debugging cylinder issues.

    need some reliability info

I think the major mechanicals are very reliable in these trucks and if maintained will deliver many hundreds of thousands of pretty care free miles, both the 6.2's and the 5.3's. I think the little stuff is just as reliable as any mainstream American car (which I rate pretty highly for day to...

    My "new" 2014 Tahoe LT

That is a very popular tire out here. I would say as many as 30% of the dirty 4x4's I see out here are sporting those.

2012 Yukon XLT with mystery rough idle and misfire codes

Sorry if I sounded kind of pedantic on the extended oil change interval thing, but I think these AFM engines are kind of a different breed as it pertains to oil cleanliness and reliability of the DoD lifters and oil manifold, at least in the earlier generation versions. But it only matters that...

Would you replace a Trans as preventative maint?

Having had a transmission give up the ghost on one long trip, I would probably be inclined to install a reman and call it good. Mine was a 4 speed, had towed a 5K trailer all around the west (mountains in summer time) in its first 60K miles and at 76K turned turtle on highway 80 about 30 miles...

2012 Yukon XLT with mystery rough idle and misfire codes

A couple of observations. Cylinder number 3 is not an AFM lifter, so it would not be collapsed. If the lifter roller seized, it will grind down the cam in time, such that you will get a misfire. There is a thread that just completed where this exact thing happened. Post #66 in thread...

    Tranny Fluid Flush?

I believe if you check your owners manual, it will call out Dexron VI (which I think is a synthetic blend), which is the latest iteration of the Dexron line. So if you buy the right ATF, it will be what came in it new.
