    Stuck in 4WD

I agree, I was looking at 07 parts (my model year) but it appears the 08’s are different. Another approach to get the motor and TC synched, would be to connect the motor before bolting it down. Apply power and your switch will likely display neutral (or whatever the encoder says it is to the...

    Stuck in 4WD

If you are feeling particularly lucky (or just like options versus equity), it is possible to just replace the encoder (the position sensor), which is the part that most frequently fails, in the part that most frequently fails. On the motor learn process, as best as I can tell from the sparse...

What do you guys think about this one?

One thing to consider (a minor consideration for certain) is I think if you ever decided you wanted to get a Tech 2 clone for your own work on your truck, I think the '13 model year was the last for these trucks and the Tech 2. If I am wrong about that, someone will be along soon to correct me. :)

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Filed away in the memory bank for when the old gal starts kicking the code. Thanks for the follow up.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thanks for the background. I am waiting until my current shoes are worn out before upgrading. I have the 17” rims picked out. Just trying to get as many points of view on tires as possible.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Was there a particular reason you were going with these Mickey Thompson MT's versus one of the other major brand MT's?

    Stuck in 4WD

Sitting here with a cup of coffee and my other MY specific repair book (not factory shop manual), there is no mention of the relearn procedure. They just say to manually set the shift position to neutral after removing the old motor so the new motor is aligned with the shift shaft. After...

    Stuck in 4WD

The shop manual calls out a relearn procedure with the scan tool when the motor or tccm is replaced. I have read service articles that state if you put the TC in neutral before the exchange, it will be synchronized as the new motor will come in Neutral, hence neither device will be out of synch...

    Stuck in 4WD

You don’t have enough information to make a definitive judgement on which of the three candidate components (wiring, TC motor, TCCM) might be the culprit. If the wiring is OK, then the GM engineers who wrote the shop manual think the TC motor is next most likely. If you want to be sure which...

    Tranny Fluid Flush?

My owners manual says 50K for severe service and when you read what they call severe service, it is pretty much everybody. :)

    Tranny Fluid Flush?

I agree with Bill, not because I have any particular experience on the matter, but just from the advice the guy who installed my replacement transmission gave me. This guy does nothing but transmissions, transfer cases and diffs, all day every day and he was no kid. He sees very old...

2014 Tahoe FPCM No Ign. 1 Signal P069E and P2534 codes.

Great news. Good luck with the new rig. There are quite a few very experienced guys on this forum that own PPV's (some more than one), who likely have been through whatever you encounter. Don't be a stranger.

2014 Tahoe FPCM No Ign. 1 Signal P069E and P2534 codes.

Not surprised as I was under the impression the ITBCM was integrated inside the FPCM (also known as the FPTM, FPDM, etc.) on units that had the JL1 RPO. Some must have as I went out looking and found this in the GM Parts Store on Amazon...

2014 Tahoe FPCM No Ign. 1 Signal P069E and P2534 codes.

Sounds like you are on the right track. As you probably know, the trailer brake controller is in the FPCM, so any wiring glitches to that module could trigger that message. There are a number YouTube videos of a guys who run shops and do a lot of GM fixit videos. If you do a YouTube search...

I have been through a number of pretty big earthquakes, seem like child’s play compared to big storms. Best of luck Chris.

2007 GMC Yukon SLT fuel access door.

Being a guy who probably has a fuel pump change coming up pretty soon, I really like it. I probably will drop the tank with my job, but if GM had put such a clean looking access door in my Yukon, it would be a lot less hassle. :)

2012 Yukon Denali won't try to turn over.

Frankly, reading the description of the events, my assumption wouldn't be the detailer did something wrong. My assumption would be a BCM failure. But in any case, the dealer techs will get it sorted.

    Stuck in 4WD

I am not familiar enough with how the systems work to be able to hazard a guess. I had a TCCM go bad early into new truck ownership on my 07. I think it was in "Auto" when it happened, but ended up in 4L and was stuck there. Being the superstitious type, I now only use 2H, 4H and 4L and never...

    Stuck in 4WD

It is likely the transfer case actuator (tc motor) or the transfer case control module. Both require some work with the Tech 2 or other high end scan tool (like a Snap On) to complete the repair. If you are near anyone listed in the Tech 2 owners sticky above, maybe reach out and see if they...

    Long crank after sitting?

I agree, and yes it does have a FPCM.

    Long crank after sitting?

I don't think this model year has an inline fuel filter along the frame rail. I think the fuel filter is in the tank with the pump assembly. In any case, it isn't the filter.

Replacement motor questions but hopefully fixable

Definitely in their time. All the geniuses nowadays are going digital, although a good friend of mine still affirms in the field of electrical engineering, the smartest guys still are in analog. :)

Replacement motor questions but hopefully fixable

Yeah, I would think you have a good chance of not having to chase that miss any further. Fingers crossed.

Unhooked Battery, now it won't start- Please help! *SOLVED*

Understand, if you are old enough and you started goofing around with cars early enough, most have witnessed the power in that stored battery and how anything metal that bridges the + terminal with just about anything else metal in the engine compartment turns to sparks and molten metal. :)
