2021 Denali - lifter replaced now camshaft

I understand. I think here, the 60 days would trigger the lemon law criteria. I may end up regretting this purchase, time will tell. I have had very good luck with “warranty” consideration from GM. My 2007 at 95K required all new pistons and rings due to the factors outlined in the AFM oil...

2021 Denali - lifter replaced now camshaft

I just bought a 6.2L 2021 Sierra AT4. Before I bought it I talked to my service guy at the dealership I have been using for years with my Yukon. He stated from his experience the lifter problems are ongoing. He said it isn’t a large percentage of the fleet but the ones that exhibit the lifter...

    New Sierra AT4

I definitely do, although I really need to settle down some, the same calibrated foot I have programmed for the 5.3L, means a lot of tickets with this beast... :)

    New Sierra AT4

Here is the first picture. It started to rain, so will probably wait till tomorrow to get more shots of the outside and inside. I will say the tech these things have is pretty amazing.

Thanks Dave, I have not looked at the Alpha Wolf line yet, but will do. I know you are very analytical, so will ride on your coattails if I can. ;)

    New Sierra AT4

Funny you should mention the AMP steps. I have watched the YouTube install video twice, will probably order from Summit later today. Great minds and all. :)

    New Sierra AT4

When we were young, my wife and I both were avid backpackers. We loved a long hike to one of our favorite campsites at the edge of an Alpine lake. Sometime, a long time ago now, that pastime faded and my wife's idea of camping evolved to a good night's sleep at a hotel like the Ahwahnee. I...

Pretty much everything I have points to the TCSCM. In the book it says when installing a new TCSCM you will need to program it and do a clutch reset (not sure what the clutch reset is, but likely both can be done with a Tech 2).

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

If it still is flaky after re-installing the OE radio, you may need a re-flash of your BCM (or maybe a new BCM). You might check the Tech 2 owners list in the General Discussion section.

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

Another shot in the dark might be to disconnect the negative pole on the battery and leave it off for maybe 30 minutes. If the RAM got semi scrambled in one or more of the control modules, discharging everything fully might allow a reload from non-volatile memory and get things reset. Some...

Oil Pressure - What is Normal ?

Sounds like maybe a defective sending unit. Kind of fussy work changing it. Before I bought it, I would put an analog gauge on it and verify the pressure was fine and the sender/gauge was off. There are tons of YouTube videos on how the change the sender. If you end up buying it, I will fine...

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

Did you happen to disconnect the battery before doing the work you did? There was a recent thread with similar symptoms (security like issues) where someone was working on their power lift gate (or maybe their wiper motor) and didn't disconnect the battery. Somehow they took out their Body...

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

Bummer. I did see a YouTube video of a guy that had done some accessory work on his Tahoe and had similar symptoms to yours. He ended up fixing his issue by disconnecting the Onstar box. Somehow the Onstar system was interacting with his theft deterrent system. I will try and find that clip...

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

You might take a look in the General Discussion section and see if one of us that owns a Tech 2 lives nearby. It might be helpful to have a look with that scanner. Some of the other "non control module" things you might take a look into would be the fuses and relays. Make sure all the fuses...

    He know what he has!

As a "car collector" he would know what it is worth to him.... We were out hiking yesterday up on some higher trails. The spider webs that were stretched so artistically maybe 7 months ago between the branches of shrubs along the trail were most apparent as they were laden down with morning...

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

Yeah, it isn’t encouraging, but I have read about others with theft deterrent issues after installing aftermarket accessories. Just a shot in the dark. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

You might try the 30 min relearn. Even if the security light doesn’t go out after 10 minutes, try the off on after like 12 min for 3 cycles and see if it takes.

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

It should go out after a brief on period (along with all the others except the CEL, which goes off after engine start). You likely need to do a key relearn (Try one of your spares first, if they don’t work a relearn is likely needed). You might try googling the relearn procedure, probably get...

Radio install, Now no crank, no door locks, no keyless

When you turn the key on and the warning lights come on, after they go back off before you try and crank it, does the little lock symbol light on the tach side go off or stay back on?

2008 5.3 FF hard starting issue

You might double check my math on this one, but I think you don't even have a fuel pump relay (should be an empty spot in the main fuse/relay box on the drivers side of the engine compartment) as the pump control is centered in the FPCM (aka Fuel Pump Drive Module). I believe everything from...

I feel you, the manual seems like it was written so a programmer could code for a robot, versus being written for a human to use effectively. In the transfer case debug section I looked at, the only codes are B07xx and C03xx, no U codes at all. The one exception is a B2725 which pertains to...

New member to forum -- searching for my 07-14 Tahoe/Yukon

I have an ‘07 Yukon that I bought new. The leather looks close to new (Dove Grey, I think the factory called it Titanium, not sure though), the dash has no cracks, washed it today and it looks really fabulous. Having said that, the earlier models (other than the Denali’s) are not as desirable...

Codes b0770,b0775,b0780,b0785 indicator circuit short to ground/open

In the pages I was looking at for transfer case control, the only codes called out were the body codes he posted. Actually nothing ever comes back to the switch (at least that I scanned quickly). It calls out using the Tech 2 to command the different modes, look for the corresponding action...
