Stumble/Hesitation AND stalling: *solved, fuel pump*

It would depend on the ODB scanner. Not sure most can see the fuel pressure sensor readings. You might check the Tech 2 sticky in the general discussions section, maybe somebody close has one and can read your fuel pressures, along with a lot more diagnostics. If you go to most auto parts...

The only way it has worked for me is to post the clip to YouTube then insert a link here.

    Normal ticking???!!

I am not hearing the ticking at all... :) Sometimes, what you think might be something like light lifter ticking is actually the injectors firing normally. Another sound of "ticking like sound" can be an exhaust leak at the manifold.

The purge valve is up on the engine on the drivers side. The vent valve is back by the canister.

    2013 Escalade ESV P0131 and P0171

The upstream sensors (sensor 1 on both banks) is supposed to switch up and down in voltage when operating properly. If it isn't switching (relatively flat line on the graph), the sensor is bad. The downstream sensors (post cat, sensor 2) will look more like a flat line as they are reporting...

    2007 Tahoe introduction thread

At some point you will want to determine if you have the upgraded bank 1 valve cover. This upgrade entails a revised vent setup for the PCV and can greatly impact oil consumption. If you do a search on GM AFM Oil Consumption TSB, it outlines what the problem and fixes are, just FYI. Something...

2013 Tahoe Aftermarket Replacement Seat Provider?

I would look for a highly rated hot rod fabrication shop in your area. They likely will know an upholsterer who specializes is auto seats and can fix you up, likely for a lot less than a new seat. Another option would be a wrecker where you could find compatible used cloth LT seats in a...

Advice on suspension and tire combo for 2008 Tahoe

I have an '07 Yukon and did a 1" level up front (.87" spacer below the lower strut purchase). It still has a very slight rake. When I tried the 1.5" level kit spacers, the truck had a slight squat, so reinstalled the .87" spacers up front. I have the Autoride suspension, so installed a small...

Spark Plugs - 2008 Chevy Tahoe 5.3L Flex Fuel

If they are original, I think it is a good time to replace them. I always use Rock Auto with their designation of OE part numbers. They haven't failed me yet... knock on wood. :)

Has anyone run both the 'clean' and 'dirty' PCV lines into their catch can?

It is the fresh air supply to the crankcase. Goes from the intake plenum ahead of the TB, to a bib on the passenger side valve cover near the front of the engine.

Has anyone run both the 'clean' and 'dirty' PCV lines into their catch can?

To answer your question directly, yes, I think at least one member of this forum did that when his engine was pumping oil through the fresh air line. Having said that, you shouldn't have any oil being pumped into the intake from the fresh air line (ahead of the TB). That doesn't mean it isn't...

    Low Battery Start Engine

Just to clarify things for posterity, "Low Battery Start Engine" message is not a bug, it is feature. If you shut your engine off and continue to use accessories, when you power management senses you have run things down enough and also senses you seem to be content staying in the truck, it...

    AFM Disabler - Worth it?

I had a business once. The product we offered was the highest quality product of its kind in the marketplace. It cost us a lot to develop the product and cost a lot to build it because we could not compromise on any of the components and testing that went into it. It took me a long time to...

How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

I haven’t, I am only going on the stuff GM published about the Tech 2 compatibility. I think the 2014 NNBS trucks use the next generation network.

How many think the GMT 900 series is the best TAHOE/YUKON yet?

No, not bad mojo, just a transition vehicle (like mine only on the other side of the series), so things like my Tech 2 won't work, etc.

2012 GMC Yukon Denali XL: oil leak discovered

Any competent indépendant shop can accomplish these jobs no problems at all. I would assure they were using OE parts (not professional line, etc.), but any ASE certified tech with more than 5 years experience can get this done without any drama. As far as pricing, that is dependent on many...

    2012 Yukon Denali 6L80 Issues/Advice

I am having a hard time understanding what each party is saying to you exactly. The pan gasket doesn’t entail removing the transmission, the rear main seal does. It made total sense the transmission guy did your rear main seal, maybe a 20 minute job once the transmission is out. If the shop...

    2012 Yukon Denali 6L80 Issues/Advice

The rear main seal and the pan gasket are two completely unrelated seals. t is a good idea to replace the rear main seal when removing/reinstalling the transmission as you need to take the transmission out to replace the rear main seal and the act of replacing the rear main seal is quite...

    2012 Yukon Denali 6L80 Issues/Advice

There are a number of common leak points under there. The oil pan gasket is a pretty big job and likely should be left to professionals unless you are pretty handy. Check out YouTube if you want to know all most of the common leak points on your engine. The AC stuff won't cause your...

    2013 Tahoe oil pressure question

I change my oil and filter at 5000 miles. I use a premium Wix filter and synthetic 5W-30 with a 2Dexos spec. I think as important as regular oil changes is keeping an eye on the oil consumption. If your daughter doesn't have any leaks (big spots on the driveway) and she ran it low on oil, it...
