2014 front seats going into my 96 2 dr tahoe

Is that the original carpet? Really nice shape for the light grey color. Super nice interior!

Dealer had my 24 Yukon painted without my permission.

I'm just curious, but was the tail light and stain problem there when you bought the vehicle? Or was there a mishap that caused this afterwards?

I agree. Pull the pan and see what's in the bottom.

Disassemble Dash To get to Infotainment

I've ran into that too, some of those push in clips scare me too. Have to find just where they are hidden and pry out right at the clip. All this stuff is designed to slap together and hold solid. Unusual to have a dash squeak in the late model stuff. I use a modified nurse's stethoscope to...

99 tahoe to 2015 frame and drive train swap

I suspect the "funny" emoge is that most people would like to swap their 2015 body on a good 1999 frame and running gear to eliminate all the failure prone garbage on the later model.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thanks for added info. I'll get a video on the phone when it does it again and see if it's covered. Seems to be a pretty common issue too.

2016 Yukon - Replaced GPS Antenna AND HMI - NAV Still not working

I've read the HMI module must be programmed for the vehicle VIN to work? Surely the dealer would know this if so. I'd keep looking for a different vehicle if they can figure it out and give decent warranty on the work.

Looking at a 2013 Tahoe LT, replacing my old 2005 (sniff, sniff)

I'd be surprised to see rust in that area and not a lot of the same further back. Kind of amazes me how these vehicles (and trucks) rust underneath in the snow belt and coastal areas.

Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

Serpentine belt been replaced recently? Maybe not turning the alternator fully when under big load. I'd get the alternator tested if any local place can do it. Can't rely on most replacement parts these days seems like.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

What year is your machine? Did you replace the membrane and glass panel or the whole unit?

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The radio in our 2019 just started this crap too, changing screens, changing stations and channels. Works fine for a half hour or so then goes haywire. Tried pulling the fuse to reset and cleaning and Pledge treatment for static, we'll see if that helps. Looks like a fairly simple swap out for...

    321 mile 1998 Chevrolet K2500 Suburban

People are starting to realize that the older models have a design and build quality that is missing in current models, and the 2500 is a step up too.

Fluids please. Need to know what to get.

Best place I've found to buy AC/Delco fluids, filters, and some/most parts is Amazon. Good price and free shipping with enough $ total.

    Possible Trans or TCC Issue

I'd guess you'll have a complete failure soon. Same thing wth my son's Sierra. We thought it was a tank of bad gas. I would probably replace that thermostat valve pretty quick. You could drop the trans. pan and look at what's laying on the bottom - but with the warranty I'd just run it.

Best place to buy pads and rotors.

Looks through the wheels, do the rotors look grooved and rough? Are you hearing any odd noises, grinding/squealing? Not sure when buying used you'd have any expectations that the brake pads and parts were as new? 3/32s? That's a tread depth measure normally. Tires or brakes?

    GM Limited Lifetime Parts Warranty

Might depend on who installed it? Some warranties specify an approved shop must install, for this maybe a GM service shop would be required to install to be fully warranted.

2001 5.3.. Tons of metal in oil

My guess would be cam bearing material. I've read that the camshaft bore is sometimes line bored with the bearings in to true up the alignment, I suspect some core shift over time has messed that up and you have some accelerated bearing wear. A Blackstone analysis might pinpoint this. I'm...

    Issue at a gas station

I made the mistake of filling up our old S10 Blazer completely full, right up in the neck, just before putting it away for the winter. Next spring I got a SES light, scanned for that emissions systems code, spent a lot of time trying different stuff, nothing worked. Read on a forum about...

    Engine failures

Just read that Toyota is replacing over 100,000 engines due to main bearing failures in a couple years trucks and SUVs. I'd think GM could go through warranty claims and find the build series that are prone to failure and do likewise. But doing the right thing is expensive.

    Does a 2024 Z51 with 6.2 require premium fuel?

I suspect the reason we don't see piles of these engines with burnt up pistons is that most people do run premium fuel?
