    No, the second battery has nothing to do with these. HOWEVER, that being said, it DOES give you an option to switch sides, just in case one stock light ouput harness doesn't work for whatever reason.     Honestly, getting a pair from BFC is really not that expensive in context. I mean, think about it: replacing a true/proper HID light from something like an Escalade costs upwards of $2K per light. With the BFC retrofit, you're getting a full retrofit for about $1.3K.
