Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

The bolts and crush washers were straight from GM. Banjo bolt: PN #11569669 Banjo bolt washer: PN #21012386 I hear you about the emergency braking. That's why I took it out yesterday after I was done, and gradually braked, until I was confident enough. I then took it to 70+ MPH and stomped on...

Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

Actually, that's what was surprising. When I took the set off, after the first banjo bolt got screwed up, I actually was able to REUSE the new crush washers after the first install attempt because they were in immaculate condition. Like they weren't even "crushed".

Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

All the crush washers I have are directly from GM. They are copper; very soft.

Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

You all definitely helped me out, can't fault you for that, totally grateful. :) This is just more for info; I just hope anyone who comes across this thread does it in time before they change their caliper and then royally screw something up because of the little banjo bolt!

Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

Update: did the brakes yesterday, and I learned this the hard way (almost). I'm pretty sure it is 30 in. lbs. and NOT ft. lbs. As I was torquing the bolt down, I felt it become super tight and then severely weaken. Since the head was in tight, I left it, but then I had this nagging suspicion...

Front caliper banjo bolt torque specs?

I'm changing both front calipers on my 2012 Yukon Denali XL. Does anyone know the torque specs for the banjo bolt? I read that it's 30 ft. lbs. somewhere, and then 33 ft. lbs. in another place. Thanks!

2012 Denali XL: will these wheels fit?

Update: just wanted to let you know that I went for it. Found a take-off set for $800, switched the tires to the new rims, had them rotated, match mounted, and road forced balanced. Plug and play, pretty much. Rides so smooth like it's on glass. Speedometer is spot on, everything is perfect...

    Driver side leak

I dealt with this and fixed it. Here's my thread. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/really-bad-driver-side-water-leak-carpet-soaked.101410/page-5

2012 Denali XL: will these wheels fit?

So bottom line, I can throw the wheels on the truck, just do a TPMS learn, and it's all good?

2012 Denali XL: will these wheels fit?

Yeah, those are looking really good! I'm gonna go for it. When you say you had to buy new TPMS, did you buy new ones to fit your current truck or the truck they came off of? (i.e. if these came from a 2015 Yukon, I'd still buy TPMS for my 2012)

2012 Denali XL: will these wheels fit?

That sounds really promising! Will there be no issue with it messing up my differential/transaxle, given that my truck is AWD?

2012 Denali XL: will these wheels fit?

I have a 2012 Yukon Denali XL. It has the default ALY5304 rims. They are old, and the chrome is peeling. https://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/3568/aly5304-gmc-sierra-yukon-wheel-chrome-9595662.html A buddy of mine has a set of 4 ALY5698U80s that he just took off his 2015 Yukon XL. Will they fit on my...

    Autoride fronts

I don't believe this keeps the autoride function. From their product description: https://www.arnottindustries.com/sk-2954-arnott-new-front-coil-over-shock-07-14-cadillac-chevrolet-gmc-suvs-swb-gmt92x-lwb-gmt93x-gmt94x-excl-hybrids-left-or-right Personally, I've only found OEM as replacements...

Clanking still there on my truck...

It's not a 2500. 1500 for sure. Nope. No abnormal wear. Always have alignments done regularly. Rotated and road force balanced every 7500 miles faithfully. Matter of fact I just got new tires. All the old tires had perfect wear (i.e. they all had no abnormal wear and were the same tread)...

Clanking still there on my truck...

That's true, I do have a full tank of gas. I checked today for any looseness in the exhaust. Nothing out of the ordinary. I can't believe I didn't remember to check anything crossmember or torsion bar related.

Clanking still there on my truck...

2012 Yukon Denali XL. I posted this thread in August of last year trying to chase down the problem. https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/odd-sensation-on-acceleration-from-full-stop.113897/ Clanking is still there: going over a bump with the front wheels cocked to the left, something...

Radio turns on and off occasional service stabilitrak warning

It's the battery dying. I had this issue. Thing is, I have dual batteries. The secondary battery masked it so well that I almost didn't realize it was the main battery. Switched it out and bam, all problems solved.

Washer fluid low message won't go away

No, it's underneath the driver's wheel well cover. Undo the wheel well cover, peel it back and you'll see it. Can't miss it. As for the rear leaking, it's been said: the hose probably came undone at the back. Check and make sure it's plugged in.

Washer fluid low message won't go away

Had this issue myself last year. Bottom line: you gotta change the sensor. Don't have to drop the entire washer fluid jug though, just unscrew the most visible mounting bolt to give you the clearance you need to extract the old sensor. You cannot get it out without doing that. I got the sensor...

    Mystery Water Leak Driver Side

Odd sensation on acceleration from full stop

Update: this story has a happy ending, folks. It was indeed the motor mounts; they were pretty much destroyed. I had the shop replace both mounts and fix the leaking pinion seal. Here are pics of the old ones right before the shop tossed them. The thump is completely resolved, and there...

    Changing sway bar links

I did mine 2 weeks ago on my 2012 Denali XL. Did not lift the truck; did it right on the ground. The only thing I did was to turn the wheels so that it exposed the sway bar links from the rear. Gave me plenty of clearance to get it done without lifting the truck. Very easy job. The hardest...

Odd sensation on acceleration from full stop

Roger that. It's exactly why I'm doing this right now, so that it doesn't turn into a super expensive mistake later. Precisely. The Hummer H3 ones. Got them ordered on Amazon and shipped for tomorrow delivery.
