You claimed 30. It's 33 to 37% that's 10%+ difference. With the potential for 45% and it's limitless. Anyways good talk.

What is misinformation ? I source my material. Electricity rates fluctuate. That's nothing new. Seems there's a certain group here who revel in sensationalism and it isn't me. Just cold hard objectivity. As an engineer that's what I'm paid to do so never been much of a bs'er. Hopefully...

what is expensive ? https://www.electrifyamerica.com/pricing/ No doubt waiting 40 mins to charge can be problematic. Gotta make it a food stop or something. Usually why the Chargers are at a destination of sorts. Ford/gm/ and literally everyone else with the exception of really cheap evs are...

I think in the future we will see more hybrids and phev vehicles. I think ev is cool and all but i don't see a future of 100% electric vehicles. It will be a combination of alternative fuel vehicles (hybrid, phev,ev, and hydrogen where applicable) There's a reason toyota hasn't jumped 100%...

Right. No need to learn and protect the earth. We should just abolish the EPA.

Your ev is always charging. So in your scenario you would have max range the day you need to go get fuel. Your gas car isn't full when you start your day unless you just filled up. I'm not sure why you are keeping 50 gallons of gas in your garage. That isn't safe. You could have some batteries...

That is misinformation. 20% was coal and it's declining year over year. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/electricity-generated-from-renewables-surpassed-coal-in-the-u-s-last-year https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.php?id=427&t=3 I think 'they' are transitioning from fossil fuels to...

Mine didn't suffer range loss like that. Non of our evs have. Maybe like 20% at most when it was -15 and the heater was blasting. Our tesla had tons of other quality problems but the battery worked properly.

Exactly. It has to work for the person no doubt. And we are getting there everyday. I have a diesel yukon for the range. Owned toyota hybrids and Teslas and a mach e gt. They are fun but like everything they have weaknesses and strength. I hate that people who do bash evs don't use facts but...

Again this is blatant misinformation. How many prius do the battery get replaced on? Not many. They go over 200k miles routinely on original batteries. And the demand for used evs? Tesla doesn't seem to have that problem. People buy them up. Evs need battery longevity. It's baked into the...

No offense man but your reading sensationalist headlines. Ev install prices. Level 3 would be awesome. But even level 2 for the house is ok fine and reasonable. https://blog.carvana.com/2021/07/how-much-does-it-cost-to-install-an-ev-charger/ I've had toyota hybrids for decades and ive never...

The only time you lose tons of range is when your towing. Home installation isn't that bad for a charger. Especially when your getting 7500 back it takes that burden out of it. It's like having a fuel station at your house. You are not doing anything. The batteries and vehicle software take...

Makes sense. The new Silverado ev has 400 miles of range and can get 100 miles in 10minutes of charging. This will be similar specs to yukon, tahoe, escalade with varying levels of power etc. . https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a38594208/2024-chevrolet-silverado-ev-revealed/

Installed an Auto Start/Stop Eliminator… works great, buy one!

You can reduce some of those button presses by selecting auto heated wheel, auto heat/cooled seats, auto defrost . the car will kick those features on depending on temp. Putting auto high beams on sets the high beams anytime it doesn't see oncoming traffic. LEt the vehicle do the work.

    23 lm2 camshaft issue

Holy crap! It affects a whopping 14 vehicles! Sierra, silverado, and yukon So like 4 each. And it's not a recall either.. It also isn't just the LM2 as the trucks have the LZ0 for that model year. Wonder if they are going to contact the owners.

    Duramax odors in cabin

My wife is happy with hers. No smells. She was really worried because of the stereotype of smelly diesels but has been very happy. Love the range. Having major trouble with a dealer. Anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

They have pretty good resources at hand. Usually the people at TAC are older seasoned veteran techs that have all the documentation and cases ever at their disposal. Sure they can get things wrong but it's much better than a tech trying to figure things out on their own. They can also escalate...
