I have a 23 yukon diesel. I also knew the refresh was coming. Most likely will trade up specifically because we kinda want an XL as we have a standard length. I also want super cruise. I also want more power which the new updated diesel provides. So while we don't 'need' to upgrade. We will.
You may see some wierd optioned ones availble. The configurator always shows everything even pre sold. While I agree there's more availability. The suvs are not to the point of piling up with discounts. The trucks are. A diesel suv? Good luck.
With the refresh its even less likely to offer...
I like it. Love that new green color too. Eagerly waiting to see the gmc yukon/xl ! I'm happy to see Supercruise offered on lower trims and diesel on off road trim.
I'm thinking I need a 25 GMC yukon Xl AT4 diesel with Supercruise in that green color with the new grey interior.
You must understand the design and how it failed. These are simple. And it didn't fail catastrophically.
So yes. shit happens category. That's why you have a warranty. Most issues happen sooner than later if they fail within warranty period.
You are correct. Can also be a fluke. This engine in the video jumped time. Could be from lack of maintenance. But of course the YouTuber won't say that. It's all for views. It's a production.
Take a look at the oil pump belt at 150k looks great. No wonder they bumped it to 200k. Look at the tops of the pistons. This engine jumped time and ran long enough to damage the pistons like that. Built to run. Pretty impressive.
Why did you guys resurrect such an old thread to post a YouTube video about an engine with 150k miles that blew up?
Like I said this forum has some propensity for people with old vehicles coming into the new section just to post their disdain.
Any engine that blows up won't be fun to look at...
If you get the alarm installed please for the love of all that is holy make sure you keep and laminate all the wire schematics. I fixed a no start condition on a older 2500 suburban with a alarm system that the owners didn't know about. Fun times. Hard part was finding diagrams for a 25 year old...
Yeah I know it was a joke. He was saying his smaller 20 year old, less displacement and 100hp/tq less suv gets the same mpg as the bigger more powerful, bigger engined new version. He was blaming AFM for that.
I get it.
It's active monitoring for oil life. https://www.gmc.com/gmc-life/technology/what-your-oil-life-monitor-tells-you
While not a yukon I'd imagine it works the exact same way. Again active monitoring. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2018/10/chevy-2019-camaro-features-an-engine-air-filter-monitor/
The crooked steering wheel is always a danger because it's tech specific. And up north they align for the stronger road crown so down south they drive crooked.
I wouldn't trust a drive thru alignment. Only way to tell Is to put it on a rack. Set up the sensors and check it. Problem is this costs money and most won't do it for free.
What they have is a money grab.

You can't justify higher costs if you are profitable. You can justify it if you say we need to make X amount of profit % per year.
But currently they are making record profits with no benefit to the labor helping make that possible. So a increase of 30% higher pay won't magically make their...
Some did. Some didn't. Same with the gt800 you had. I will say the gmt800 had way more cracked interior plastics then the 900. The 900 had a slightly softer plastic that would help with cracking. Most of the 800s also had the foggy lights due to water intrusion. And the exterior door handles...
