Thanks @Fosscore for the links above. Been a while. About to do some updating in this thread. Got a lot of parts laying around and some time to get to work. Hopefully have a new transformed truck by beginning of September. Gotta go back and read what I’ve posted so far and see what I’ve...
I got the Goodridge 14196 Brake Line kit. Ordered it off Amazon. Have to check the code in your glove box I think to see which lines you need. This kit iirc is NBS. In the swap I think only thing you change for the NNBS upgrade is the front Rotors, pads, Calipers. The rears stay the same.
I did last year. Felt worse after I did. Even with the SS lines. But I think the MC was going out when I did so it’s why I didn’t feel a difference. Now it’s leaking, so time to replace. Just not sure what brand replacement to go with
:win:
Anyone add a Master Cylinder upgrade to their GMT800's? I have the NNBS setup, but need to do the master this week. Wondering if anyone knows of a decent master to look into as well?
I sat in the driveway today on a chair and stared at my Tahoe today. Does this count? :p
Mainly I was wondering if there was a decent brake master cylinder upgrade on the hydroboost setup. Cant seem to find anything searching the forums or google. Ugh.
Nice! I knew I read something in your bible of a build thread about the brackets. I’m gonna have to go back and look for the PPB post. Still haven’t turned it on at night lol. Life seems to always get in the way lately :p
Thanks. Just swapped out the headlights with the Depot projectors and new lower blinker/DRL housings as well. The last set broke when the radiator blew out. Waiting till I go to work tonight to see the difference in the lighting. Also added the LED license plate lights. I didn’t swap the oem...
Never did post the before and after pics. So here it is in the rough stage. Didn’t realize all the tabs on the donor bumper were trashed. Also needed the correct spacers. So for now I drilled and put a bolt in each side to hold up the pad. New one just arrived. Gonna swap the pad on Monday and...
No. I have to pull it all back apart for the little tid bits so I plan on doing it then. I did spray the mounting horns tho. I need to get some pics in the morning tho and post them. Looks good so far!
Now that the front end is done I plan on getting the entire Tahoe resprayed in due time. May possibly be moving to Georgia here soon, so not sure where that’s going to rank on importance as of right now tho…
You ever felt so busy that you just don’t have time for ANYTHING. :mad3: Yeah that’s been me since the last post in this thread.
Felt froggy today. Decided to pull the front and swap over the top pad. Going to my buddies house tomorrow morning to cut and reweld the bumper supports. Only took...

Yeah, I understand that. Once I had my little guy priorities changed up pretty quick. I haven't had much luck with these brakes yet tho. Re-bled and still feels worse than before with the stock setup. I'm thinking the master needs to be replaced as well. Gonna look into that this week. Not sure...
I plan on adding more power here shortly so I’m attacking everything else first before I head into the engine bay. Got a long way to go, but the brakes were on the list. I’ll post back once I rebleed the entire system again.
So I finally got around to installing my NNBS brake upgrade. Got 2009 Powerstop fronts and 2005 Powerstop rears. Also did all 6 Goodridge SS lines. I honestly think I have to rebleed the brakes. Pedal still feels a bit soft. Loving them so far tho!!
110% def helps @Fosscore!!! Thanks! Gonna probably give them a call. Just want something decently backed since the wind here is pretty intense sometimes being so close to the sawgrass. You said yours had good material on the inside?
