You know I never thought about sound deadener on the roof. Now you have me wondering if I should get some before reinstalling.
Abs so I don’t have to go back thru your thread, which I do often, what color did you end up doing when you replaced the headliner and carpet. I know you went a share...
This is probably why I never do build threads. I’m super bad at updating them. Anyways since I last posted nothings changed much, except the over $2k worth of parts laying in the garage waiting for me to have time to address things. I keep ordering things but not making time to install them...
Old post, but thankful I found it. Been chasing a squeak/clunk for a while and we finally narrowed it down to the torsion bushings. Gonna tackle it this weekend.
Well all ordred up. Front 2007+ and Rear 2005 Powerstop Z36 kits and Goodridge SS lines. $1150 for it all. I wish I seen this when prices were so much cheaper. But hey, its the world we are in right now. Hope to have it installed the day it comes in!
Thanks. I did videography for all kinds of...
Probably what I will end up going with as well. So far rockauto seems to be the best for both kits. Still doing a little searching tho before everything is ordered this weekend.
Man. After reading all 47 pages I learned a lot. Not just on the NNBS upgrade but other factors of braking. This is why I love forums! Also sucks tho going thru this parts list I’m putting together and seeing what the prices where at the beginning of this thread in 2016-2019 to what they are now...
Well damn. I just read that and my happy feelings left. I just got 2015 LTZ wheels and had them powder coated. Did you have the 5 or 6 spoke? And where wouldn’t it clear?
Correct. Engine and trans were picked along with the center console and two front seats. Soooo I plan on taking the 2nd and 3rd row bench seats. They are Esky leather and almost brand new looking. Then there is the roof rack, rear d pillars, folding side mirrors and inside controls, rear glass...
Confused on the not so good numbers from this drop kit after letting it settle a few weeks. I put on the Maxtrac Lowering Kit. It consisted of the front spindles, rear springs and shock relocators. The only 2 things I can come up with is to 1, replace the shocks on all 4 corners and remeasure...
Still haven’t gotten measurements on the drop. Gonna do it later today. But found a deal on fb marketplace couldn’t pass up. Been wanting some parts off an Escalade for the Tahoe. Found a parts Escalade with title for $500. Went and got the tow truck and picked it up Sunday.
Was going to go back to my normal spot and measure all 4 corners today, but South Florida rain has other plans for the entire weekend. But I did get to open a box I got from someone I met on a Tahoe fb group. He’s got a few Bermuda Blue SUV’s. Sold me matching BB handles, mirror covers and an...
Yeah. I bought the Nivomats July of 2020. They were $228 a piece at the time. I just checked and they are up to $250 each now. Almost 2 years out of them. But I’m gonna wait and see how it fully settles in before I go swap all my shocks. I have Bilsteins up front and the AC Delco Nivomats out...
After the install yesterday I took it to my buddies shop today who mounted the wheels a few weeks ago, to get an alignment. Just on the toe so I don’t eat up these tires before I can get the rest of the suspension out front situated.
Also tore the front end apart yesterday in the driveway. Stupid me forgot to take pictures tho. Installed the MaxTrac 2/4 kit that I ordered from SuspensionSuperstore. Came out nice. Did measurements on all 4 corners before hand. Gonna give it a week to settle in and then remeasure. See how much...
I’m bad at updates. Plus I move slow with working on this thing. Got a few things done since last posting.
Got the HD hood fitted and bolted up. Motivation now to get it over to paint cause it def needs it. Working on the grill and bumper mounts to have the whole front clip done.
Before…...
One day Ill be able to update my build thread. Until then I keep fixing things that keep breaking just to drive this thing.
Anyone ever drilled out the shift lever on the trans selector and replaced it with a nut and bolt and some washers for the shifter cable? Valet at the hospital yesterday...
