Where did you find them? They’re not in the drop down section for the Denali struts.
That P!sses me off. I would of spent a little extra to get the OEM struts. I just didn’t wanna buy them fully assembled.
Probably not recommended but I took my chances on the cheaper mag ride with no spring on rock auto. They were like $200 a piece. Then I had to compress my own springs which sucked.
I only went cheap because I was already disappointed that my OEM ones failed rather early. If the cheapys fail...
Funny because I just thought about this. I don’t have anything to pop the cover off of mine on the Yukon. Might have to throw one in with my breaker bar
I’m not exactly familiar with that grommet. I don’t have my NBS Tahoe anymore.
On a side note about heat.. if your connections are up to par and sized properly. You’ll never generate enough heat to damage anything. You really shouldn’t even get warm
You’ve made it clear that this isn’t the path you want to take. But I can tell you I’ve installed sound systems in atleast 5 or 6 of own personal vehicles. I ALWAYS go after that huge grommet near the driver side firewall and find a way to get the wire through there.. never had any issues in...
@Tonyrodz does your van sound a lot louder after you removed the cat?
I assumed it was a leak then I went under tonight finished the rear clamp and double checked everything. I got a throaty exhaust now lol. I don’t hate it but in a van it just sounds broken not so rowdy like a truck would
So I got around to “fixing” the exhaust. I intended on getting to both sides tonight but I was only able to attack the driver side. I’m about 4 1/2 hours into this project. The bolts on the exhaust flange were so rusty that of course I broke 2 and had to grind off the 3rd… getting the studs out...
My tester is showing 8-11 psi back pressure at the 02 sensor closest to engine when revving engine. Definitely some restriction
It’s actually showing 0.06 - 0.08 MPA but that converts to 8-11 psi
So I did buy a 2015 Yukon Denali in 2020. Had 52k miles then. Has about 66k now. I’ll break down my experience for you. We bought it impulsively. It was over budget and barely on the lot for less than a day. We found it online while driving home from another lot that left us disappointed in the...
So driver side is reading like 350ish front/middle then over 500 at the back of the cat right where it welds into the exhaust pipe. I would think a blockage would be hotter in the front. But what do I know
Passenger side is a little more consistent like 400ish through the whole cat.
I really only bought it because I’ve had good experiences with all my Gm trucks in the past. But this one is really a pain in the ass.
I also couldn’t afford any of the newer vans on the market lol
My oil pressure never improved after new pump, o ring , and rebuild on the top end. I still...
so before I tore the engine apart last year I definitely borrowed a cheapy tool like this pressure tester and it showed nothing significant to make me think there was a clog.. however that was a year ago. And earlier this year I definitely put a cheater bung extender on my downstream 02 sensor...
The wires definitely fixed the morning misfire issue. But I noticed as I was trying to pass someone on the highway (pretty aggressively) my CEL was flashing and detected random misfires. The code is gone for now as long as I take it easy on her.
I’m fairly convinced I’m just running on...
Anyone else having this paint rub off on the inside of the rear doors? Driver side is rusted already. This pic is the passenger side. I’ll probably just lightly sand and dab it up with some touch up paint to prevent further rust. But I assume it will come back
