I would call Rockauto and see what their warranty covers, you could ask them about the quality of that motor and they may or may not give you an honest answer.
Did they do a road force balance, if not that is the direction I would go next. I would call around to different tire shops to find one with the proper equipment, could be a tire out of round which has been known to happen. Always go back to what you did last before the problem occurred...
I looked at the video you posted and he sure made it look easy. That sucks it didn’t work. I wonder how many others had the same issue as you did. I sure hope they don’t give you any crap about returning it.
I just looked up the brochure and it shows the 4x4 is the same for the three models listed. If there is someone on the board with a 4x4 same year different model I would guess the RPO code would be the same.
Yea I don’t think they realize how nice it is. They put on new mag ride shocks and swear it’s no better which I don’t understand and then they eliminate them. Maybe they got a bad replacement, I don’t know. The scan tool as you describe would tell them if there is an issue.
The longer they have it on their lot the easier it will be to negotiate pricing, a lot of times they will reduce the price every 15-30 days. Look at the vehicle on their website and see if they use carfax, look at the carfax report and it will tell you how long they have had the vehicle. Good luck.
