    So curious question... Whats idle and cruising oil pressure gauge look like? Mine seems a bit low and if it’s going I would like to be ahead of it and find a replacement and pull this one.

    When you get the clutch off spin the shaft to see if it’s seized before buying clutch. Never seen that happen if it’s seized I’ve seen the belts snap or at the very least chatter the tensioner of the pump is starting to seize.

    If you didn’t snap the belt it’s just the clutch. If the belt snaps it’s the compressor seized.

    Mine are rusted and got them out no problem. Use the right size screwdriver. Hit it with a hammer with pressure and turn it on impact. The shock breaks then loose.

    I use the obdlink mx+ and with my iPhone I use the app it comes with but with my android tablet I use torque pro. The iPhone tho only shows around 42.7-47. I have yet to see anything above 50. Pid 220052 equation is (A/255)*100

    It should not be in them but before the cooler. Bypass. Should go into the radiator then to the bypass and back until it reaches temp. The cooler only works when it’s 180 and up.     Only thing I can think of is cam sensor location is different as well as knock sensors. You will need to alter the harness. Nothing in that article stated they used the gen3 or 4 harness. You should not use the gen3 because of canbus and other e38 ecm features that gen3 doesn’t have. Also DBW...

    What I am more worried about is getting a 6l80 in my truck with the shifter switch. I would love to buy an l94 with the 6l80 but idk how that part will work. The engine is easy peasy for me. Tranny not so much.

    They make a box that goes between the harness and sensor to simulate the 58x when using the 24 in a gen 4. Think it’s LPE who makes it.

    You can buy at least 2-3 lq4 engines for the price of one l94 but for the sake of ease of swap gen iv for gen iv I’d suck it up and use the l94. The lq4 is a solid engine for old school cars.
