As I said both are the same except access to the rear bolts of the block side of the engine mount. When the car is jacked up you can see the wheel well opening to get access to them. Most of all the work I did was from above
About 2 hours. Could’ve been faster if I had an m12 rachet and the coupler wasn’t seized. The original is a PITA with the huge heat shield pry that shit out the way.
Naw not terrible. Patience. Getting to the rear lower block bolt is a PITA and best to get it through the wheel well opening. Everything is 15mm. Take steering coupler off. It’s a PITA with it there.
I used to have a bunch of rc stuff. Had to sell it all to fund my racecar. Tranny blew and needed rebuild. I miss them.
drag car was a b4.1 team kit with sidewinder 1415 sct motor and esc
had an ofna 1/8 I put a hobby wing kit in it.
rustler vxl converted to a backslash as my basher that had...
Dust used to be a concern for me but not anymore since I got my SS. Car stops amazing with the OEM pads and creates a shit ton of dust. I’m over it.
do you have those type of pads on your truck?
So I’ll be making an order soon with rock auto and looking for motor mounts and pads and I’ll prolly end up getting the same wheel hub as the other side but from there not the store.
I need an excellent stopping pad and don’t want ceramic. I don’t care about brake dust. I’d rather stop and not...
I used them on my bbc 496. Used the copper spray on both sides. Also cometics are reusable up to 3 compressions. After that they are junk. Very good stuff!
I’ll have patience to do it soon as my other car is almost 100% then I can start working on that little by little and not worry about having two cars down.
How did you by hook up the hoist?
yes I do not want to remove the exhaust manifold if possible. You say you got everything from the top? You didn’t have to lay on the floor at all?
I have not. I got some relatives in CT that have a range right off their porch. If it wasn’t for COVID we would be heading up there. Only did paper locally. Haven’t been out in a while tho.
It does it any type of acceleration. Always from stop. As I stated before in neutral it doesn’t do it. If engine mount was broke it would do it all the time revving it but it does not.
