    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

Thats what is starting to sink in. I went ahead and bought some New Monroe struts and Monroe’s for the back and I’m just going to see how they feel with the strut spacer up front and shock extensions in the back. I’m searching for a soft ride and 0% off-road use and EVERYTHING I’ve read on...

    BDS 4 inch

I think the BDS do a decent job of not Pushing track width out much more Than stock. I think it’s even advertised on their lift spec sheet. It’s the rough country kits that push out track width. If any BDS kit did I would guess the 6” kit would but like I said they advertise that it doesn’t to...

2018 Chevy Tahoe Z71 wheels and tires added with specs

I’ve always thought our vehicles looked better with AMP steps over running boards as well....especially with the smaller 3-4” lifts. Just gives the Illusion the vehicle is taller than it is and better aesthetics in my opinion. That other Tahoe with the BDS 4” had them so you can see. I ran my...

2018 Chevy Tahoe Z71 wheels and tires added with specs

I loved my XD grenades. Started with the 20x9 0 offset (I had a 2.5 suspension max level) and then went to the 20x10 -24 Grenade when I went to a 4” Fabtech kit. You can always add a 1” rear coil spacer if you like the front height and just want to raise your rear up. Hell, even the Readylift...

I called Fabtech today to order my 3” budget kit and he told me he would not do the 2.5 coilovers. He said they purposely don’t offer strut replacements with their kits for the Yukon/YukonxL bc they come with nice struts from the factory........ so now I’m prob going to have the 3” Fabtech kit...

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

when I switched to Fox 2.0 up front I lost 2.5” of ride height. We couldn’t utilize the Fabtech top strut spacer anymore so it was just the lower strut spacer 1” and the Fox coils maxed out. I was sitting at 39.5” up front and no longer 42” anymore. Of course the install Shop didn’t know this...

5” upfront with the supplied UCA in the Fabtech kit (K1081). The 3” top strut spacer, 1” from swapping to the Monroe Strut (I dont know how but the front jumped up post install), and 1” from the suspensionmaxx 1” lower strut spacer. prob at least 100k or closer to 150k miles on that setup. Only...

It shows the icon 2.5 (basically same as Fox 2.5) is available also in the small taper UCA. It’s way over my head the difference in why someone would want a large taper vs small taper. However, it does show at least the 2.5 is compatible w small Taper UCA

excellent point! I need to check if the beefy 2.5 will slide through the Fabtech UCA

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

the Fabtech kit USED to be labeled a 4” kit but so many people complained that the back came out to 5” and the front only a true 3”. I think they finally got tired of people calling them out on not getting the height up front (without adding a lower strut spacer). On my 2016 Denali Yukon i just...

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

On my Denali I lost an inch of height in the rear when I swapped from my magnetic/air ride shocks to the Fox 2.0. I think the air compressor kicks on and pushes the factory shock up most of the time and without that extra air you lose an inch. I’m guesstimating it will do the same with I switch...

Spoke with fox today and the fox 2.5 coilover is 0-3”. So now I think I have all the kinks worked out and the setup I’m ordering is: Fabtech 3” K1081 This kit will drop the differential in the front and have a UCA I can use instead of buying the Zone UCA. It has the front strut spacer that I...

I’m also a gonna squeeze in a 35” tire like the suburban at the very top. My install shop said they can make it fit if that’s what I want. The suburban up top only has the king 2.5 up front and UCA’s and said he got 3” lift up front. They did some cutting but the 35’s fit and look amazing.

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

I had a 16” Denali Yukon previously and had the Fabtech 4” kit. The front came with a 2” strut top spacer and UCA’s but nothing to drop the differential. I also swapped my front shocks after 150k miles on the fabtech 4” for the Fox 2.0 coilover. We could no longer utilize the front top spacer...

Love the blacked out grill! So many folks upgrading straight to the Denali new/old style grills. The blacked out SLt grill looks good. I’m To try that look on mine and I bought the chrome grill inserts to paint black as well. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone with that setup. I’ll post pics when I...

I was to go with one of the 18x9.5 forged wheels in a matte black. The thing weighs 28lb and the nitto 34” tire weighs 50lb so I was going to be saving 25lb of weight on each wheel compared to 20x10 and 10 ply tires. Figured that might help Compensate for the 5.3 instead of 6.2 a...

Can Anyone confirm the Fox 2.5 factory series coilovers do add 3” lift? Same with the icon 2.5 coilover? I’d rather just do that and skip the lower strut spacer

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

Tiki you think even with changing the UCA that my geometry would be that bad? My previous vehicle 2016 Denali Yukon had the fab tech 4” kit. Their kit replaces the UCA and doesn’t mess w differential height and adds a 2” strut spacer and i added a 1” lower strut spacer to achieve 5” lift. I’d...

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

And as shown earlier the Fox 2.5 coilover doesn’t mention the 0-3” ride height adjustment but can you guys verify that’s true that they’re capable of that? I’d rather Keep it all Fox if I can and the Fox 2.5 are slightly cheaper.

    2015 GMC YukonXL- Fox Coilovers

Icon shows to have a 2.5 coilover that is capable of 3” as well. for the rears it shows the 2.0 replacements are 0-2”. Does that mean you can adjust those to Achieve more height (2” lift) without using a coil spring spacer?

thank you for the info. I wanted to look at the fox 2.5 up front but can’t confirm it’s for sure 3” lift. There’s wording of 0-3” lift on their site but it says “works with 0-3” of lift”. The BDS coilovers kit if I’m not mistaken offer 2.5 up front and 2.0 in the rear. Just seems to be more...
