Thank you gator. Just paint issues? Yeah going rock crawler was an easy choice with the BDS back order. I wasn’t gonna be able to drive it stock for that long. Then it got my wheels turning. Anyone who’s installed the fab tech budget 4” lift kit that runs $800 only gets 3” lift up front so I was...
Yeah I think I decided on going Fox Coilovers up front with a 1” suspension max spacer and also use a Zone UCA.
Fox 2.0’s in the back and adding a 2” coil spacer.
That should be 3” up front (better UCA too) riding on a Coilover and 2” lift out back.
Going with a 18x9.5 -18 Forged Black...
Well guys I just picked up a low mileage 2015 GMC Yukon XL 4x4 and I was ready to slap on a BDS 6” and some 22x10 & 35’s but BDS is on a 4-6 month Backorder. I want to still fit in the garage and 6” lift is max i could go. I know the fab tech 6” kit actually goes a little taller at 7” and all...
I’ve used that brand of wrap above and it’s GTG. I’m by no means gifted when it comes to doing stuff life that but it was very easy to install. Heat gun, squeegee, and some alcohol cleaner And you’re set.
On mine I figured out that the 2” strut spacer that came with the fabtech 4” was not moved to the Fox Coilovers. It wasn’t moved bc it doesn’t fit over the top of the fox strut like it did my Factory MRC and Monroe strut. They make a 2” strut spacer thst does go over the fox coilover so upon...
I’ll have to grab a pic tomorrow of the preload. Basically all things were kept the same and I changed out to Fox Coilovers up front and fox 2.0 in rear and LOST height. I don’t mind the 40” measurement in the rear now (the 33” tire look better in the fenders) but I want that front to bump up...
Top is Fabtech 4” Kit with 1” front spacer. Monroe Shocks upfront and factory rear auto level. 42” front fender 42” rear.
Bottom is same setup except now has Fox Coilovers up front with 1” spacer and fox 2.0 rear. 39.5” Front 41” rear
I just recently had my front Monroe Shocks (MRC deleted) pulled off and went with these Fox Coilovers and fox 2.0 in the back and got rid of the auto leveling factory shock.
To my shock, after install my front is lowered 2.5” and my rear dropped 1”. I have the 4” Fabtech kit AND a 1” spacer...
Definitely can notice the improved shifting on both accelerating and coming to a stop. Huge increase in throttle response. The thing used to take it’s sweet time and almost bogged down under acceleration and now it instantly jumps off to the races. MPG seems to be averaging at least 2 more mpg...
Thank you. It’s still definitely shifted a little to the passenger side but isn’t a danger to drive. It’s just one of those things I’ll notice moving forward evertime I look at the vehicle so I’m
Going to get the adj panhard.
Thank you for the recommendation. I had already booked Maximum Altitude and they surpassed my expectations. I left it with them while I went to EDC Orlando and never heard from them. When I got back I drove in and the vehicle was ready with all issues fixed with my clunking while accelerating...
20 x 10 -24 offset wheels
33 x 12.5 Tires
The ride heights are exactly what I wanted to achieve as I feel 6” on the shorter Tahoe/Yukon frames are just too much and 4” looks good....but doesn’t stand out really much more than those whips rolling around leveled. 42” all the way around really...
In my opinion I think you’d be better off with sticking with your 35” and getting a different and wider 22” (maybe even with a more aggressive offset). Your 24” will make a 35” tire look like a low profile tire and you’d prob have to go 37” tire to have just a little bit of meat...and I’m not...
I have not but I’ve heard of West Texas Off-road. I’ve done Da Drop Shop, Elite, and Select Off-road (used to be Complete Customs). I went ahead and scheduled a drop off with Maximum Altitude in San Antonio this week. Joey there has always been helpful and does quite a few Tahoe/Burban lifts on...
I recently had the 4” Fabtech installed on my 16 Denali and I’ve had a clicking noise under stand still to acceleration coming from the rear. I took the vehicle in to see if the shop could diagnose the noise but they told me with the 3” spacer of the Fabtech my rear suspension is a really big...
I went with the Monroe front assembly based off the Xineering reps recommendation. He had a 15 LTZ Tahoe that he said he swapped to the Monroe’s and was very happy. I like the ride of the Monroe’s and they were priced right. I kept my rears the same but intend on replacing at some point and...
Yeah I contacted Xineering for their half kit. It had the ride height simulators as well as the magnetic top shock simulator. I thought maybe everything would settle after a few hundred miles but the front is still sitting at 42”.
It’s been raining and overcast here in west Texas for over a...
Update: installed Xineering Half Kit simulators and swapped out factory magnetics for Monroe’s. Ride is significantly improved and I have no idea how but my front jumped up almost an inch.
Front sits @ 42” and rear sits at 42”. I now have an extra set of fabtech 2” rear spacers if anyone...
