    New exhaust/kit suggestions?

A few things to consider, due to the options available, do you tow, are you looking for a like-for-like single system that exits behind the wheel, or possibly duals? Material choices of stainless or aluminized (less expense). For me the biggest issue with these cavernous vehicles is internal...

    Towing with a rental Tahoe

I've rented Tahoes, Burbs, and Eskies... all of them had tow packages... all of them had an oem factory hitch cover that blends nicely into the bumper, that one can conveniently pop off. Make sure you reinstall on return... nothing mentioned to the rental company.

02 tahoe crank but not start

Have you confirmed you have spark to the plugs, and what's your fuel pressure? And confirming that you have starter engagement and engine rotation? "Loss of power" vs. "Not starting"?

2003 Tahoe, RPMs jump from 600 to 800 every 8 seconds and AC clutch spins when climate controls are turned on.

There is a chance that the controls are the source of the problem. As @76Nick says, start at the compressor and work your way backwards. I suspect that your refrigerant level may be low, and what you are seeing is constant A/C (clutch) engagement, with low-pressure (refrigerant) cycling.

    4:10 diff

Thanks @Marky Dissod, that's the math I knew was out there. I have a front diff to contend with as well. She's no longer my primary ride, so I'm not as concerned for highway miles or mpg. Thanks for the link!

    4:10 diff

I'm running 3.73's and like the idea of going to 4.10's. I'll be watching for responses as well. There should be someone shortly, or we may have to do the math .

    Cluster scrolling thru different languages

I don't recommend touching components on any electronic circuit board unless you have a proper ESD ground strap. @Fless has the right idea and suggestion. The PCB traces can get unperceptable corrosion between them, causing high resitance or direct shorts. "Gently" cleaning the board with an...

    Cluster scrolling thru different languages

There are a few reputable online options as well. Either send in your cluster for repair or order a replacement. On a replacement, Odometer miles can be programmed (due to the programming formula, it won't be "precise"). I requested my mileage to be greater than ***,***, as I didn't want to...

    Engine harness plug identification

As far as the small ground at the battery, mine goes down and under the radiator support. I did not take the grill apart to see where it landed, the second pic shows it crossing horizontally under the support towards the front.

I'll go out and take a look tomorrow.

    Engine harness plug identification

Could this connector be for the A/C clutch? I'm not sure which ground cable you are referring to.

Catch Can for 2006 Tahoe 5.3

As @Scottydoggs mentioned the hoses in that particular kit, I went with some high-quality silicone hose. With winter coming, if you're in a freeze zone, make sure you keep a close eye on it or bypass for the season.

    New to lifts, question please

I put a leveling kit on my '02 Z71 4x4... it included new "keys" to increase the pre-load on the torsion bars to "lift" the front end. There is some adjustability on how far you crank them, more=higher=stiffer ride... my kit also came with 2" spacers for the rear. Mine has a considerable rake...

SOLVED: Need to drop the fuel tank but it is currently 80% full

I'll agree with @Scottydoggs on this one. Tank is very heavy when over a 1/4 tank, unwieldy, and since you're under it, you'll probably spill all over you. I was in a similar situation when I lost my fuel pump. I got a mechanical (hand pump) fluid transfer pump and filled a couple 5 gal fuel jugs.

    Driver side power window switch/module

Thanks @Fless, I think I'm going to check mine out, thanks for the info!

    Driver side power window switch/module

My '02 Z71 doesn't have any fancy settings like @Fless mentions; what I can say is that the non-original switches (from AMZ, Std., etc.) will leave you disappointed. I recommend original AC/D from RA or GM... else you run the risk of low-quality fakes... and frustration.

    Sunroof piece broke

I agree! How many here have experienced either the windscreen supports or track glides break. I'm assuming there could be a potential market.

    Replacing Rear Main Seal

I reused my original cover, hot-tanked with light surfacing on a plate. With that I used SacCity's Alignit tool to center the seal, and also thier billet oil barbell/diverter. While the oil (cooler) block off plate is externally accessible, there is more room to address that annoying issue as...

2001 Tahoe power window switches not working for passengers ONLY.

It's ok, I've done it myself... . On a serious note, if you ever need to replace any of those switches, get original A/C D... cheap (AMZ) substitutes are crap...

    Dragging brakes 2004 Yukon

I understand the premise behind hydro, and want to do a conversion, but I have no first-hand experience with them. Could a leaky (internal) master cause pressure from the PS circuit to apply (light) brake pressure? We'll wait to see what our resident experts say.

    Dragging brakes 2004 Yukon

As @Scottydoggs mentioned, the master cylinder/ABS bleed with a Tech2 made a huge difference for me. @Fless asked whether hydroboost or vacuum, which gives two variants on activation issues and possibilities. If your rears were still dragging, I have seen the parking brake dragging inside the...

    What is this?

I too originally thought it looked like a deteriorated speaker surround. I came to think that something that is in that area is the fuel tank, and could that be some remnant of the fuel pump gasket?

2002 Tahoe e-fans and volt gauge

The "Big 3" is a grounding upgrade strategy to address grounding issues. Do a search on that, I don't have a link readily available. Highly recommended as the old ground straps were marginally sized, and by now may have significant internal corrosion, impacting conductivity.
