    Oil pressure low

It is also possible that the pressure spring in the pump is getting weak.

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

He is reading Lambda. Perfect ratio is 1.00, and he is seeing .95 to 1.05 at cruise. Squeeler what are you getting when it seems to bog off idle?

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

I took power going in and out at low load to be similar to surging.

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

Well a good tuner would have changed the injector data I would hope. Otherwise, even with a dyno tune for power, daily driving will be off if the flow rate is being calculated incorrectly. Which can cause surging. Where is your wide band when cruising in closed loop?

    Oil pressure low

I have noticed a pressure issue with certain filters. I always run a ac Delco now. But during the vid there was a couple times I couldn't get them so I ran the orielly filters and had the exact same symptoms he is describing. Try switching the wix for a Delco. I know wix are good, but it is...

Is It Worth Replacing High-Mileage Injectors?

Well the big thing I see is did you get a tune for the 6.0 to run the flex injectors? The 6.0 injectors are 24ish lb/hr flow vs the flex 33lb/hr. So if you didn't get a tune to offset the extra flow, you are completely relying on the ecm to adjust by reading the O2 sensors. I'm fairly surprised...

05 Denali Put in D for drive but felt like Neutral

Sounds like the shift cable is going bad. And Tony, pretty sure all of the full size vehicles got the "deep" pan on the 4l60e

    Synthetic vs conventional

So probably not Duramax diesel oil... but DuraMAX off brand generic oil. No experience with it so I can't Comme t on quality. But, I would do some googling and see what people's experiences are with it.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Nothing fancy just filled it up and went to visit the kid at college. Head wind the whole way there 16.6 mpg at 70mph. Tail wind the whole way home and got 22.5 mpg at 70

Catch Can for 2006 Tahoe 5.3

M35A2 powered by a Hercules Multifuel inline 6. Nine to ten mpg on straight diesel, 6 to 7 with a mixture of used motor oil, old atf, and 80-90 thinned with gasoline.

Catch Can for 2006 Tahoe 5.3

It is so refreshing to see that guys here understand the whole point of a catch can. A member of another forum I am on asked a similar question and whoo boy. Let me tell you there are a few "Old heads" ( and I'm not exactly young), that will rip into you over this subject. "If you need a...

Catch Can for 2006 Tahoe 5.3

I have the amazon cheapo ones on both the Silverado and Tahoe. Tahoes catches about 4 ounces over the 3000 mile oil change interval. The Silverado on the other hand.... gets about 2 to 3 ounces every tank of gas. So 400 to 500 miles. Depending on highway or town miles. So yeah. They work at...

05 Yukon AC Clutch is Stuck

Yeah if it stays engaged with no power and has enough pressure to turn the compressor it has probably welded itself together.

05 Yukon AC Clutch is Stuck

This here. If it stays while unpowered the clutch is damaged. You can replace it without removing the compressor. I've don't that on my Silverado. If it disengages, move to the fuse box and pull the relay. See if it disengages. If so swap the relay with maybe the horn relay, and see if it stays...

    Silvera-HOE

Possible it had already been damaged. Had a guy here in town do something similar probably 20 years ago with a 2 door 90s Tahoe. Tree fell on it an crushed the rear portion. He cut it and did a 4 point rollbar to reinforce it. Then did a soft top with snaps.

2001 yukon denali 6.0 oil in cylinder 1 and 3

I haven't cut open a manifold to see what cylinders are closest to the pvc hose port. So it was a guess and less of an absolute. But with the known oil consumption issue because of valve cover issues, it is as good of a place to look as any.

2001 yukon denali 6.0 oil in cylinder 1 and 3

Could be that the pcv system has flooded the intake manifold with oil and that is getting in the cylinders.

Incorrect fuel pressure Key on and Engine Running

I haven't whole heatedly looked for an adjustable one. But it seems you are right as I haven't found one that goes on the factory rail. Which is hard to believe with all the other aftermarket part for these.

    My 2001 tahoe 300k miles original engine/transmision

Keep the oil and filter changed and basic maintenance and it will last a good while longer. My Silverado has over 420k on it, remember maintenance is cheaper than a new vehicle

    04 2wd tahoe, lowering on a budget.

X2 on the previous post..it can be done. But, it will not be cheap. I do not know if you have running/step boards on your truck as it is 2wd. But you could look for a set of those and have them installed. The ones on my 06 are probably 4 inches lower than the floor boards. I can not measure at...

building my own front diff. Ford 8.8 LSD

Curious as to end game here. Just to have a LSD front diff? Not knocking the plan, Ya just didn't explain the plan well... and I'm dumb and don't seem to be able to figure it out. Lol. The 8.8 is a tuff unit though. Ran a turbo 500+ inch ford through an 8.8 in a fox body in the early 2000s...

Real Benefits to 91/93 Octane in a regular LQ4???

You have to remember that GM isn't always tuning for the best mpg or best power for the truck and general car lines. They are trying to get you a vehicle that does "well enough " and will make it out of the warranty period...and that is all. The Corvette and other performance vehicles will get...

Real Benefits to 91/93 Octane in a regular LQ4???

Yes those are the gen 3 6.0 engines. I don't have the software for the newer computers that the 6.2s use. As for the aftermarket tuning for a mpg standpoint alone. A '19 5.3 z71 my coworker tuned with hptuners picked up 2 mpg after a transmission only tune. He did no engine changes, but...

Real Benefits to 91/93 Octane in a regular LQ4???

Ok let's try again today. P59 computer has the rows and columns reversed for some reason but here is an LQ9 low and high octane table set. Almost 10 degrees of timing difference in the selected cell and anyone can look over the rest of those maps and see what timing for a given rpm/air flow...
