$10 for driers is a great price! Pretty sure mine is closer to $60. A clogged orifice tube could cause temps to spike, but if higher temps are what’s needed to cool that’s kinda strange I’d assume it was a compressor issue then. Spent several hours last night tracing wires, pulled the entire harness out of it’s wrap, and yanked the fuse box. IIRC the high pressure sensor down by the compressor is not being sent the 5v it needs to function. I traced that all the way back up to the ECU pin 14 (red/blk wire). It’s almost...- Dantheman1540

What’s so frustrating is mine blows ice cold when the compressor is on and the pressures are in the normal range. I do notice it seems that when I command the compressor on its causing an abnormal load on he engine. Maybe the compressor is toast yet works fine- Dantheman1540

Turned it back on and commanded compressor to come on hoping I could get a video of the noise and smoke I saw previously. I think the compressor is ****** for some reason. I replaced the sensors and it’s reading a little more (up to .18v while on), however the high side pressure just isn’t much even when the compressor commanded on. I swear that I never saw the actual pressure indication channel before, but I found it this time! Looks like it’s reading between 0.0 and 0.02v no matter what I do. Hope y’all have better luck than me, despite it holding pressure, being filled to the recommended capacity, and both fans working. I think I found the AC leak. The old seal was replaced maybe a year ago, it’s the lower line that connects to the compressor and iirc the seal is from a cheap set from harbor freight. It looks to me as tho the oil leak I had for a few weeks seeped oil onto the seal and it deteriorated it. The...- Dantheman1540

Tires came today and they look really good for $170 each. They are 255/75/17, I wanted 255/80/17 but I couldn’t find any decent tire for under $250 in that size and an inch isn’t a big deal to me. Mini trucks get me harder than wood ****** lips. I never even considered trying to make power with the 4.0 and do not plan to even try. I just want it to run reliably and do 70mph. I actually bought something different that was on sale. 4.0, 5speed, 4x4, 117k miles for $1350. It’s a regular cab short bed which is fairly rare to find with the 4.0.
