I just spoke to the new tuner for 15min on the phone. Swapping to the copper TR6s made the entire tune almost 10% rich across the board. Put new plugs in this morning and it fired right up as it should, it did not seem to help with the low speed bucking at all tho. That’s the ones! Plugs are so easy to do in these trucks it’s really not a problem for me, to spend $29.99 and 1 hour a year in doing the plugs. A lot of timing is mid to high 20*s, I think it hits 30* in a few spots. Factory lq4 tunes have like 6-8* of timing in the top end, it’s fairly pathetic. Everyone likes a tighter gap………. To prevent spark blow out.- Dantheman1540

Got scolded by the tuner for using iridium TR5s. He said “the platinum/iridium plugs have a coating which keeps them clean longer but is more prone to misfires in something with a lot of timing”. He suggested copper tr6 gapped at .035 so that’s what I ordered.- Dantheman1540
