I used to drive cars for an auto auction, and I was less than impressed with the cayenne that I drove. I don't think it had lived it's best life though.
Hoping to level mine this weekend if all goes well. I bought the rough country stuff, even though it has mixed reviews. I also bought all new control arms, sway bar bushings, and tie rods. Hopefully it works out for me.
Im still gonna run the same tires that I have now. I think they are 265/75/16.
I am on that FB page, lol. Also the Weber kettle club forum. I have a 4-5 1980's wsms, for a while that's pretty much all I used. Then I found a 26 for 50 bucks, and that's basically all I use now. And the jumbo Joe's for traveling. I will check that thread here.
I used the E6000 glue. When I was a kid I tried to super glue a chair that I had, and it started smoking. Thought I was gonna burn the house down. Lol.
I grabbed an exhaust clamp off of Amazon for 16 bucks today. AutoZone wanted 43 for the same one lol. Went ahead and grabbed my buddy one too, hopefully it works on his headers.
What's the difference between the 51522 and the 57045? I saw someone else mention they used that one and it is what was on their wife's enclave or something, so that's what I grabbed. It looked the same as the one that's meant for the truck, just longer.
I stole that but yes, I think Zavod44 made the design, he makes very nice replacement wood handles for Weber kettles. I have probably over 50 webers, I lost count
I just ordered the rough country, 2"level/lift because I figured I needed new shocks anyway.
Does the Denali have the auto-leveling shocks? I'm not sure if the lift I bought is compatible, but I can let you know how I like it after I get it on.
My back is worn on the driver's seat, and the armrest is pretty rough too. And I would need bottoms for the 2nd row captains seats, and really the top of one is pretty rough. I haven't inspected the 3rd row much. I figured I would just patch these up and see how long they last. I'm trying to get...
If you think my truck deserves the new covers I can send you my address and interior code... Lol.
It's like 350 for vinyl just to do the driver's seat. We already spent all of our vehicle budget on this thing. I'm just happy the lumbar isn't poking me in the back, and I finally got all of the...
Not today, but a couple days ago I did a half-assed seat repair. Gonna see if it holds up, then do the bottom and get some of the colormatch dye.
I shoulda went and cut some leather out of some seats at the junkyard instead of using vinyl, but oh well
I was watching some videos on the undercarriage rust treatments. It seemed like the rubberized stuff was causing big problems and this mechanic said he usually refuses to work on any vehicle that had it. He was saying the oil based stuff was the way to go. Make sure to do plenty of research...
Car audio is usually 4 ohm, until you start trying to get 1-2 ohm stable amps to get more power to your subwoofer. Mine has a soundstream head unit and some kind of aftermarket door speakers, and I'm not impressed by the sound quality. I am thinking about hooking up an amp and running it to a...
I didn't look, but my buddy said they were expensive. If I have brand new seats I will probably be a butthead to the kids when they spill something too, lol. Or just ban food and drinks, and I don't really want to do that.
The stuff I'm using seems like carpet cleaner, it's tuff stuff multipurpose cleaner. Seems to work pretty good.
I got tired of this lumbar thing jabbing me, and my wife had the roll of duct tape out so I had to try something different. Stuffed in some foam and glued in an upside down piece of...
Started cleaning the seats yesterday, interior code is 922, I need to order some dye and try to fix the driver's seat.
You can see how dirty they are, I used a toothbrush to clean most of it...
Tore the back doors apart and cleaned the door lock rods and little plastic guides, then sprayed some white lithium grease on them. Now they both unlock when I hit the fob or the unlock switch.
The front driver's door didn't go as well, and I'm pretty sure my actuator is going out.
Still on...
