I got fancy wire loom and tesa tape, so im gonna get the bay cleaned up a little after I get this yanked out. Probably put a pitman and idler arm in while they are easy to get to. I still need to paint a couple things like the coil brackets and steam tube. But it's been cold and if I paint in...
Started tearing this thing out finally. And i didn't even round out the torque converter bolts, lol.
Hoping to get it out tomorrow and get HP tuners ordered. Still have a few more things to buy, but I'm getting closer for sure
I built a growlight with LED strips, and I could tell they weren't gonna last, so I put dabs of superglue under them while I stuck them down. It's held for a few years now.
@Tonyrodz my line rusted out right above the rear end on the drivers side. I didn't see the leak until it was on the lift at the alignment shop the second time.
I had a bad wire on one of my wheel speed sensors. If your scanner will let you view live wheel speed data you could rule that out. Mine ended up being the module too though after I got the wheel speed sensor working. Mine will work until I hit a bump then the MILs come back on.
Ordered a rebuild kit for my injectors today. Might end up just running the gen3 intake, cause I don't really have money for a fuel pressure regulator and new throttle body.
There were so many parts gone off of them it was hard to tell what they even were, lol. The newest on was placed like October 13th, so I was hoping maybe the intake was laying around. I thought about grabbing brakes and rotors, but then I would need new wheels.
Drove up to the pick and pulls yesterday and really underestimated how much time I would need to find parts. The first one I went to didn't have anything, and was in line checking out at the second one until the 3rd one was closed. All of the nnbs trucks had the engines pulled already, but I...
The oven cleaner seemed to work pretty good, I think I'm gonna call it good for now. I need to get this old engine the rest of the way out, I made some baggies with pieces of tape on them so I don't lose my nuts and bolts. I wish we had a pick and pull closer cause I would go look for the...
It depends on if you have the drive by cable or drive by wire. For drive by cable you need a chineese 92mm throttle body and a fuel pressure regulator, or I see some guys cramming a corvette filter on there. Lol
Drive by wire needs this thing called an x-link, I heard people saying it was...
I don't plan on drag racing this thing, and from my limited research it's the best cam for low rpm torque. I've been thinking about the dorman intake manifold, but I haven't been able to find any testing on it. Was looking at the ebay aluminum ones too, but I read that it will move the powerband...
