Hauled my boat to the Buffalo NY area last Friday. About 90 miles, some on country two lane with hills, some on a four lane and some in city. The boat is approximately 6,000 #. With my Duramax Suburban I got 18.1 mpg. Moat of the time I was running a good 5 to 8 mph over the limit. With my old...
Is anyone using a maintenance log app? Looking for one I can track work done by dealer, garage or by me. Also like ability to take pics of invoices, receipts etc. Free app preferred but low fee would be OK too.

You may want to consider replacing the surge brakes with electric over hydraulic. Much better braking and control and you then could use the sway bar. I towed a slightly heavier boat with my 2013 Yukon XL with zero problems, but XL has a longer wheelbase.

Sorry but I wouldn't leave my dog in an unattended vehicle for any length of time! Too many things can go wrong! If it is truly a service dog...take it with you!

I had this posted in the wrong section so repeating it here.
I have a 2023 Suburban Duramax. On the info page is a brake life monitor. Does anyone know how it measures brake life? Also, how accurate is it?
Thanks.

I have a performnce boat with through hull exhaust, The stainless tips get dull. After cleaning with soap and water I apply vinegar, let set, then wipe them down. Come out clean and shiny. Might be worth a try.

I purchase my 2023 Suburban in Pennsylvania but live in NY where a front plate is required. I see the bracket is available through GM but wonder if anyone has used anything better or different. It appears that holes will have to be drilled. Also wondering if anyone has used two-sided tape or...
Received my Diesel, labeled, fuel cap. It fit well, however the fuel door and liner is plastic and the removed cap would not adhere. So, using double side tape I fastened a washer on the inside of the door. Works great, now.
I have had my Suburban with Duramax for about a little over a month and put on about 2,000 miles. Have also hauled my boat about 100 miles. My previous Suburban was a 5.3 and there is no comparison. Average mpg is 26 to 27.5 but have seen as high as 31. Hauling a 6,000 boat and trailer on a 4...
Finally got around to hard wiring my Radar Detector. As others have said, I needed to trim down the plastic on the fuse tap to get it to fit. Used number F26 fuse location. After that it was pretty straight forward. Removed the trim on the passenger side pillar and ran wires up and pushed them...
Think I will oeder one. I was in NJ last week. As many know, you must, by law, have the attendant pump the fuel. When I told him, Diesel he gave me a funny look. I watched carefully to make sure he pumped the correct fuel.

Do many of you actually renew Onstar? If I recall, it is almost $50 a month for the top plan. I have a phone and great Garmin GPS. I doubt I will renew when my "free" trial expires.
