Installed LED tail lights and reverse light bulbs, opened up the passenger door pull (should be a recall / class action lawsuit as so many are broken due to weak design) and reinforced with small square steel rod and aluminum angle then poured in plastic epoxy.
Installed my B.B. tune a few days ago.
Better shifting, no more 95 mph brick wall.
However, before and after EFI live logs show exactly the same 0-60 and 0-90 mph times.
And now there is more knock retard top of third gear.
So no power gained, and it actually feels like it doesn’t hit as hard...
Oh snap, my B.B. tune and EFI Live license just showed up on my email......
Tune installed, going for a drive....I expect this tank to have a lower AVG MPG, lol.
Thanks for all the info...
So the brake parts are interchangeable......interesting.
Mine has
GU6 3.42
JD9 brakes 17” ( don’t understand that one, as they are more like 13”)
KC4 engine oil cooler
KNP cooling system, transmission heavy duty
KW1 generator 160 amp
K5L equipment enhanced...
Just curious what qualifies a Tahoe as SSV? Is mine?
Also any info on brake size and differences between LTZ-SSV-PPV and being able to upgrade to the PPV brakes would be appreciated.
Yours not the only one.....
My passenger side is broken, my brothers 2012 has both broken. Every tahoe I looked at before buying mine had one broken or starting to come apart. There is actually not that much info about it on the web. I would like to see a thread on how to reinforce it with...
Sorry....
99 and older came with an older style PCM (computer) that you couldnt do that much to it.
The 0411 (part of the part number) PCM is from the newer 2000+ Chevy vans that still had the 5.7
Its very close to the one in my 01 vette. With the 0411 you can tune way more things than the old...
Installed LED fogs and low beams....they sent me the wrong high beams, installed air aid jr, cleaned the entire truck.
Just bought this 2013 LTZ 4x4 a few days ago.
Now to email BB tune.
Guess I’ll have to change my sig pic now.
Ok, got em back from the ceramic coater two weeks ago.
Today I decided to install them.
Passenger side went on no problem just like any other header. Whoever the f¥<k built the driver side should be shot in the head with my .45!!!
First off, the collector points towards the outside of...
"I notice water/coolant on the intake around the thermostat housing and rear of the compressor. Look in rad and I cant see anything. GF said she never saw the temp go up... FML"
That part would bother me.
I have had efans on every vehicle I own, lots of different setups.
I can honestly say that you would be way better off saving all that money on those parts and get a tune instead so you have better control over temps, on off speed settings, no leaks/intrusive work, etc.
Painted and installed a pillar pod, moved my trans temp gauge into it and installed an LC-1 wideband into it too.
Also replaced the recirc door actuator.....again.
