    Help diagnosing misfire on cyl 2. This is what I know

    When at wide open throttle an engine will smoke if the rings are bad, and at deceleration (held in gear) it will smoke if the valve stem seals are bad and at idle also. That is the common scenario. Look out back for white/blueish smoke during those times.

    Well you did say the injectors are 80k miles old, maybe they are partially clogged and need some techron, etc. Maybe a vac leak?

    Sorry but I got my vette stainless headers jet hot coated all the way back to the mufflers , including cats and it has been problem free for 5 years of hard driving. Also they are 25 min away and I toured the facility before doing them. What is your bad experience?

    Wheel bearing?

    Damn my 93 4x4 got beat up, sunk, duned, etc for 190,000 and never needed bearings. 99 4x4 with 138,000 also oem. Maybe your bigger tires stress them.

    Hard to start

    I get 20 mpg also on the highway and that's at 105 degrees with the ac on high and 3.73 gears. Can't wait till winter, no ac and more timing with cold air.

    Exactly, may actually be leaking fuel from the spider and the engine is partially flooded. Try some injector cleaner or seafoam in the tank and see if it cleans up....you should know in a tank of gas.

    Mainly the MAF. If it knows how much air is flowing in the engine, it can calculate how much fuel is being used at ~14.7 to 1 plus factoring in all the other sensors. I have the ultragauge and I loooooove the display. Does the same thing as scangauge but IMHO it looks way better...

    Need a new F***ing windshield now.

    Got a new one a year ago. Got nailed by a nasty rock that put a chip in the hood first then took out the windshield in dec. Finally in June I had time to get a new one. 2 weeks later got hit again and a 2 foot crack. Now I need another one.

    Rumbling noise can sometimes be tires. Ceramic pads are for longevity and low dust, not good stopping power. Drilled and slotted brakes are NOT directional unless the cooling vanes in the center are curved or angled. If they are straight, it doesn't matter which way they go on. Always...

    starting problems

    So you are saying it cranks every time, alarm or with key but takes forever to start? If that's the case it may be fuel pressure bleeding down overnight. Does your security light on the dash come on?

    You guys need to run a smaller alt pulley like I do. At idle it spins faster which makes it put out more power and it cools better.

    99 Hoe boggin out

    Nice 4 peaks in the background, just went quading out there a few weeks ago. Need more info on when it happens, and does it clear out? If it is doing it after sitting hot (engine), then it may be the fuel injector spider is leaking down and running rich when you start up hot. Any mods?
