Something is not right. Either the trans temp sensor is bad or you are talking C.
I’m in Phoenix also and with an LTZ with all the options including K5L cooling package with external trans cooler and 3.42 rear end and my trans temps are 185-195 NOT towing in the Phoenix heat at around 110...
When my 99 developed a crack in the torque converter hub and puked trans fluid all over, I rented a Uhaul. Can’t use a WDH with surge but my 7.3 PSD towed it no problem.....of course it’s overkill but my current 13 Tahoe could have handled it in the AZ mountains with some sweat. It fit with a...
If it happened once or twice in the past and is ok now it’s probably not a clutch pack as it would be toast and not intermittent. Probably a soloenoid in the trans, or wiring issue.
If the needle is moving when you change RPMs then the compressor has to be on.
Without knowing the high side and low side numbers at the same time...along with ambient temp , we cant make an educated guess over the internet.
Find some gauges and shoot another vid.
It's very hard to diagnose an AC problem without gauges that read both low and high side pressures.
You need actual numbers like 30 psi low and 220 high, etc to troubleshoot.......green and yellow isn't going to cut it.
Hold it at a steady 1200 rpm and see what the gauges read with AC on high...
After my left OEM engine mount let go last year due to a smashed gas pedal, I felt the pop/bump when it shifted into second.
After replacing with a Hummer mount, I could feel more engine vibration at idle vs the OEM fluid filled one. Maybe the fluid has leaked out of yours....on the way to...
I installed the Geomet R1 Concepts front rotors, slotted. Took them to my Croyogenics guy, had them cryoed. Installed Police calipers (high temp seals) and police friction pads.
I drive a Corvette, and I warp rotors with Tahoes driving too fast and stopping too hard. After over a year of...
What mikeyss said, and don’t worry about the volt meter. I’m also in Phoenix and on full blast on a hot day the voltage can go down to 12.5 or so which looks really low on the gauge. I’m guessing the ECU is trying to not boil the AGM battery at those high ambient temps.
However if both fans...
When you say it will not start I assume you mean it cranks steady but no cylinders sound like they are doing anything?.......as if you had no fuel pump or no spark.
If that is the case I would go simple old school and spray some carb spray down the throttle body and crank it again. If it...
Misfire stumble is not normal.
Your graph looks ok, upstream O2 sensors should be constantly swinging (narrowband).
Where/when is the misfire or stumble?
Yeah, that’s why the “towing package” usually includes the air to oil in series to further cool the trans fluid. It’s more about keeping the temp in the optimal window.
Actually the water to oil coolers work well, much more efficient than air to oil for the same size.
Your coolant is about 195 coming out of the engine and cools across the radiator THEN hits the trans cooler heat exchanger. What that temp drop is I don’t know, but it does work for normal...
That looks like the cylinder was dead for a long time.
My first car I bought back in 86 was a Nova that was running on 7 cylinders for a while due to the previous owners negligence , the intake valve push rod and lifter on that non firing cylinder was junk.....looked just like that.
Could also...
You removed the key and the truck kept running.......sure sounds like there is a problem with the ignition switch. I would run it and start wiggling the key and see if you can induce something.
