    Followup - I did go with a GM reman. As it goes, I had yet another issue recently with it, just before the 3year warranty was up. I had only put on about 50k when it started slipping and making noise. Found out after they dropped it, that the pump failed leading to catastrophic failure...

    I attached the t-stat housing to the pump before I installed the pump, just to help line that o-ring up horizontally as to not let it slip out of place. I'll have to take it off to see what the issue is.

    Got things back together and have a small leak out the side of the t-stat housing where it meets the pump. I have torqued to the right specs, so should I consider some gasket sealer?

    Thank you for the info/suggestions. The bad looking gasket was the one more under the alternator. I could not tell if the leak was from the gasket or coming from under the hub. The bolts all came off about the same and no noticeable difference when comparing them. Surprised one gasket...

    I have a 2011 Yukon XL and have a hose mid vehicle on the under carriage that I am not sure where it belongs. The attached end hooks up to a "T" and I cannot readily see where that leads to. Cannot find any place where it looks like this one attached to. Any thoughts appreciated!

    While backing a boat up today, I had my power steering completely go out. Fluid levels good. Read that some models have a sensor on the steering column that can affect some things. Wonding if to try there first or the pump. Or might there be something bigger?? Suggestions were to start? Thanks.
