I'm a fan Infinity, especially their Kappa line. Really, I like most all of Harman's brands. I have no experience installing those speakers so I can't comment on that. I'd definitely swap the VLOM. Again, be sure you get the updated one. This may even improve your oil pressures. Although, they're fine as-is.- iamdub

All sounds good. I tore mine down to delete AFM right at 200K. The cylinders looked great and all the compression numbers were very good. The VLOM is the control center for the AFM and the first design had flaws which GM greatly improved on. They also improved the design of the AFM lifters...- iamdub

The phaser is the cam sprocket, so that's a third of the timing set. I'd replace the phaser and not worry about the timing set. Sounds like a misfire from compression and not ignition or fueling. The valves might be moving when scoping it, but things can be different when its running, especially with lifters controlled by manipulated oil pressure. I'd suspect a lifter or the solenoid in the VLOM that controls that...- iamdub

It's not keyed cuz it's really not a [harmonic] balancer. It's just a crank pulley. It does have rubber isolation between the outer ring that the belt rides on and the inner hub to dampen asynchronous vibrations. The crank pulley bolt is torque-to-yield (TTY) so it must be replaced. Yes-...- iamdub

Great point. This makes sense now that I've thought about it. Most of my trips aren't very long so I don't ever notice a problem. Only on the longer drives do I feel like the support is inadequate. It's gotta be a gradual compressing of the cushion. The Tahoe sits for days or a week or more... -

The pic of the welds is too blurry to really tell. But, it kinda looks and sounds like lack of penetratíon. Aren't the $100 HF welders flux core only? That doesn't look like flux core wire to me. It also looks big, like .035". Also, with flux core, the electrode should be negative... -

Excellent! I have an ebony one in my cart. How's that Seat Shop (Durofoam?) cushion? Most reviews said it was too firm. But, I'd guess that'd be the popular impression since the original is being replaced because it's worn out/too soft. -

I didn't mean the button specifically. I was thinking the assembly as a whole, like a fault in the PCB. You kinda ruled out the door switches (the ones built into the latches) so I was thinking something else in the chain specific to the lights. Kinda like how a defective multifunction switch... -

It seems to be all we have here. We don't get the seasonal blends of any fuels- it's the same year-round. I've never seen any true 85% ethanol fuel at any pumps. Ever since I've been monitoring it, it has always been mid-60s percentiles.- iamdub
