Is this the real thing? http://www.hobdii.com/wholesale/gm-tech2-gm-diagnostic-scanner-with-d-card.html?gclid=CjwKCAiArOnUBRBJEiwAX0rG_b95czSppSiEPAG5099QejZ48kgkV8TPEy2o7YRXCTq6QGruqG-xFxoCqWcQAvD_BwE
I just googled Tech 2 and shopped on Amazon. They offer all kinds of other scanners but no Tech 2 shows up. I did just get an email from Harbor Freight touting this: https://www.harborfreight.com/zr13-obd2-code-reader-with-abssrsfixassist-63806.html and wonder if this is decent. Probably early...
My 2009 Tahoe has been acting funny for a couple of weeks. It seems to be shifting and locking/uunlocking the torque converter. It feels like I'm hitting bumps in the road. A friend who builds automatic transmissions for race cars said similar things happened to his earlier generation Tahoe and...
I wonder if it's a problem with the body vents. Either they're not all operating or they're badly placed. Worth checking to see if taping them open cures it, taping them closed might do it, who knows.
I put a Performabuilt transmission in my old '96 Buick Roadmaster. Worked like a charm. I put it in with just over 100k on the clock and sold the car with just over 200k and a great driving transmission.

I realize the added fuel economy helps them meet CAFE standards and make some absurd vehicles that don't save fuel. Still, my truck is...
Not at all likely to happen but if I built a Suburban with a Duramax and 6 or 8 speed automatic my father in law would borrow it and never give it back. LOL!
This broke a little while back. I crawled under the side and tugged on the cable and it moved down from the cab end a ways. I could see the clean part was well out of the cab but didn't want to create a dangling cable issue so I pushed it back up and ordered a front cable.
Got the cable a...
I clearly need to do some research. I have no idea about torque management. I do notice that my Tahoe seems to really like the cooler weather and is doing better. That should buy me some time to raise some money for whatever I do.

I remember the car I learned to drive in. My mom's 1967 Buick Electra 225 Sport Coupe. It was a coupe because it had two doors. Each door weighed about as much as a volkswagen. It had a Wildcat engine pumping out 360 hp. On a good day we could get 8 mpg. We used to drive from near DC down 95 and...
I'm thinking a) not going to be compatible with regular gas, and b) not gonna last long on my 175000 mile motor. Fun though for a couple of days I bet. :-D
